Is the vocalist in Mr Brown Nat Gonella, perchance? That raspy voice is very redolent of him.

Yes it is Gonella after that Irish guys vocal.This Ambrose controlled studio band was led by his banjo player Joe Brannelly.Max Bacon also on vocals.Gonella seems to have played on other Ambrose bands recordings.He must have got on well with those musicians to get asked to play
