Oil paints ARE good for Speedpainting and the biggest barrier to oils is the Solvents where Bad Habits are Wasteful!
Strap in because we are busting through the biggest barrier to adding the powerful tools of oil painting to up your game!
The problem is, most people are wasteful when it comes to the primary solvent needed, that is, the White or Odorless Mineral Spirits.
By using the Dip and Wipe method, you can greatly reduce the cost and exposure to these solvents!
For this entire project we used only 5 ml of solvent, which was sufficient for thinning paints and cleaning all brushes used!
Using the Stipple and Blend Method, the process is forgiving and FAST! As long as the paints are thin, they dry in a reasonable time, while still allowing plenty of time to add tiny details.
