People need to stop comparing this to the steroid scandal. This is on a whole new level of cheating because you can out smart someone on steroids, but you can’t outsmart someone who knows what’s coming... If you have to cheat in order to be a winning team then no one on your team deserves to play professional baseball.

This is how this I believe whole thing must be concluded...... First, the Houston Astros organization should relinquish the title and trophy before they are asked to do so. Right now, no matter what trophy they have, it's tainted and no one believes they earned it. So technically, no matter what anyone thinks, they are not World Series champions! And, the argument for stripping the title is only getting stronger with each day! The Astros should just do the right thing before they're asked. However, if they don't, then MLB should step in and either vacate the title or allow the Yanks and Dodgers to have a one game, winner take all, play-off game to determine the 2017 WS Champ. There is a good argument for why the Dodgers should not automatically get the championship. The players union must then go to their rules, maybe even forgoing some of the rules because they do have some discretionary leeway, and allow MLB to punish those players who clearly capitalized by cheating without stepping in to protect them. The players union MUST recognize that protecting players under these circumstances is no different than harboring a criminal! If a player can be penalized for steroids, and the union is good with that, then this behavior should also be punishable. Conversely, MLB must then be ready to hand down some massively stiff punishments, which must include, among other things, lifetime bans for players and managers. Finally, MLB cannot allow a clear bias for merchandising and profits to exist, or worse, be somehow connected to the decision-making process here. Merchandising should NEVER be a consideration when handing down punishments! MLB must stand up for the game and for the fans and do what is right! For me, what hurts most is when I see the kid in the stands, cheering for the Astros during those times of cheating. I cannot help but feel that the children are the ones who are most hurt by all this. And for this team, to not only let the down a city, but the children of this city, is absolutely unforgivable! The time is now for MLB to send a clear message and save the game of baseball!
