Yes! I agree! That guy needs some soul-searching if he thinks using technology to steal signs in baseball is A-OK. If you use your eyesight to steal signs, it's ok. Obviously, the commissioner of baseball is NOT ok with using this technological method of cheating, if he just levied a pretty big suspension to the former Astros GM and Manager. It wasn't a big enough suspension, though. Baseball's draft is 40 rounds! Football's draft is 7. A Patriots penalty of one first round draft pick would hurt, IF Goddell ever fined his beloved Patriots for their cheating ways. A first round pick for the Astros would not hurt so much at all. The $5 million dollar fine that the commish slapped the Houston Astros owner with is couch-cushion-searching pocket change, as he is a billionaire. He could wipe his own butt with $5 million bucks and would laugh himself into a frenzy. The Astros players complicit in the cheating scandal, like Jose Altuve, are not going to be suspended by the league. The MLB players union is toooo strong. The team gets to keep their 2017 World Series Championship trophy. This Astros team got off pretty light, all things considering. They aren't untouchable, like the Patriots, but they dodged a pretty big bullet, nonetheless.

The WS championship should be vacated for both the 2017 and 2018 seasons because of the cheating scandals by Houston and Boston. My Dodgers lost both WS, but it wouldn't feel good for the league to "award" them those world championships, just because the Astros and Red Sox cheated. I see it both ways. Stand on second and flash signs to the batter, that's good cheating. Use a center field camera with a sophisticated system to relay signals to the batter, that's bad cheating.

Using your wits to decipher the sign is NOT cheating... Using technology to do it IS! Thats the literal rules of the game... MLB knew they were cheating and gave them a verbal warning that is all you need to know. Its not a team problem... Its a MLB thing they are just corrupt.

What is up wit sidekick? Is he alright. Deception is a pitchers strongest strength. Wearing buzzers and using technology, i mean it not even competative at that point.

I wholeheartedly agree Rich. Soon stealing from second is something you've earned. And it's something both teams can do. Having a special camera and special setup in your home stadium that the other team doesn't have isn't gamesmanship... It's cheating.

Ask Fiers about the pine tar he puts on balls. Waited two years after he got his money to snitch. Better not let him pitch in Houston.

Jessica is in a league of her own on this. She's protecting cheaters. Mike Fiers deserves recognition, not condemnation. As for Chris, he is missing the point altogether on Fiers. In the midst of this scandal, which affects the outcomes of games and corrupts the sport of baseball, he's arguing against the one guy willing to reveal it.

Rich Eisen has the best take on this whole situation. You can’t take the banner down. Tainted, but not discarded. The players should be punished though. Great take Rich!

Mike Fiers played in all of those games, of course he deserves the bonus. Regardless of the fact he clocked in and at the end of the game clocked out, so of course he deserves to be paid..What if he got hurt during the game or something.

Someone had too step up unanimously or it would be. B story some wouldn't believe. Fiers did. Some will label him as a bad ex teammate, rat, snitch, or a mediocre player using this too get his name out there. But he did the right thing.

There is a massive difference between a guy who can figure out signs standing on second and placing your own camera pointed at the catcher and relaying what the pitch is going to be in real time. I truly believe anyone who thinks otherwise just doesn’t know baseball. Chris, players around the league have spoken about how upsetting this system is.

MLB knew about it before Fiers just didn’t want it to hit the public to tarnish the view of the sport.
