I'm new to technical AR stuff but how can you swap mounts if it's pin and welded or what exactly is pin and welded to your rifles? The YHM mounts? Sorry kinda new to building firearms and just purchased a turbo 5.56 so gotta learn quick haha

@@Starkesea im sorry for the poor English lol. What i mean is the YHM suppressor mounts are all pinned and welded on my uppers. If i wanna switch out the suppressor all i have to do is the YHM QD system to a suppressor that uses the standard HUB adapter. Hope that makes a little more sense

The muzzle breaks are different size? I guess, YHM could create one muzzle break that would be universal?

Obviously the farthest forward interface surface wouldn't be there unless the can had it or you modified it. But I think it would still click an obviously taper lock an threads would work fine as long as threads on the can fit the mount 75% of the benefits will still be in use. You just won't have the extra stability from the very tip of the flash hider/break interfering with the internal mount the yhm cans have.

What do you mean? Our QD mounting functions the same across our entire line of suppressors (except direct threads)

The QD will work with downsized calibers. For instance: The Resonator will work on our 30 cal and 5.56 mounts but the Turbo will only work with the 5.56 mounts (aside from the newer Mini Muzzle Brake). You will have to give us a call in order to look into getting a new QD mount with the correct threading

The muzzle brake version of the mount reduces recoil as well as act as a sacrificial blast baffle when used with the suppressor

@@YHMachineCo Looking at the 5.56 brake, the hole is quite large compared to my other 5.56 brakes. Is there a particular reason?

@@enb3810I believe all their devices can fit up to 7.62 through them, so they are kind of “multi cal” , granted you choose the thread pitch for the barrel..

Did you ever get an answer to this? I also bought the long brakes but they are big and heavy so kind of want to pick up the mini flash hiders instead

I’m only 2 weeks in and haven’t even certified yet :/ I believe i found a simple answer, if the can you bought came with the full size qd, you’ll likely need to buy the kurz to use the small qd. Imo I’d just stick with the full size or go direct thread. Smaller qds won’t work as good and prob don’t secure as well as the full size.

Don't send the full gun, but send the barrel and can. Do that if it's important, but why even take the can off?

I shot it without the ring while it worked it did not secure comfortably. I ended up moving to the SRX environment. Now I have to deal with a short SRX mount for my fat cat ugh!

Resonater came with a 5/8 muzzle device I would bet. So it won’t fit a 5.56 gun but will fit a .308 gun. Sorry it’s way late. Watching videos awaiting my first can/Turbo k’s arrival home. ATF approved 9/12. Still no stamp in hand.

If your particular VOX armament suppressor has the 1 3/8" x 24 thread pitch for it's mounting system then it will work in conjunction with our Phantom QD adapter

Put a strap wrench on it to try and get some leverage. If that fails, heat it up as much as you can to loosen the carbon build up

@@goodluck2522 yup - heat plus running it cause expansion and a carbon build up making the threads harder to unthread. Seems pretty common - surprised no one else has run into similar issues. You get the same issue when swapping out a barrel that’s been run often - it gets stuck.

Even if they did, they are built into the muzzle device, not the can, so it just gets replaced by another muzzle device.
