Yieryi 6 in 1 Water Quality Meter review

This video reviews 3 Yieryi water quality meters used for Hydroponics, fish tanks, and fish ponds.
One is a handheld TDS and PH meter that is semi waterproof.
The other two are 6 in 1 meters that between them measure salinity, TDS, PH, EC, CF, humidity, and temperature.
The last one I review has WiFi connectivity with remote monitoring and alarm messaging. Included is step by step programing instructions.

I just ordered Yieryi water quality meter still not arrived the interesting thing is that as far as I know that tuya smart are combatable with homeasistant which giving users the minimize the coast of building diy hydroponic automation system because the most expensive peace of equipment in this diy project is atlas scientific ph and ec kit Right now i,m planing to use Yieryi water quality meter + JEBAO 3.4 WIFI aquarium doser to careat some sort of simi auto hydroponic dosing system the meter is going to give me alarms I will add pump in the resivour which i can run remotly while dosing to mix the nutrition and ph adjusters using JEBAO 3.4 WIFI doser

Wow - I can really use that for dosing my hydroponic tanks. Yeah - I also checked the automatic dosing systems and they are way out of what I can afford. Thank you for this comment. I will look into the JEBAO 3.4 to see if it will work in my application. BTW - the second unit arrived and it is installed and working in Tank 3. I now plan to purchase one for Tank 1.

@@expathydroponics8500 the jebao doser have arrived but unfortunately you can't set the volume you are dosing in the manual mode it is the same as pressing the physical button however you can set the volume you are dosing in the automatic scheduled mode I calibrated the dosing volume to 20 mils after i fenished with calibration i set the timer to dose 5 mils and it gave me accurate 5ml dose if you are looking for better solution you better find an aquirom doser that can actully set the volume in manual mode

so if i,m going to use Jebao doser with my hydropoinic setup the scenario would be like this yiery sensor will show me the ec and ph reading or ph and ec alarts acordanig to that i open jebao doser and set the dosing time and dosing volume before that i will have to connect submersible pump to a smart switch and turn it on to use it to mix the the nurtions in the reservoir and keep it running until and I finish with dosing and i,m satisfide with ec and ph readings

Thanks so much for the pics of the user manual! I ordered the last device a few weeks ago and there wasn't a user manual included in the box. Couldn't find a pdf version on the internet either... You made my evening! :)

@@expathydroponics8500 I have this meter. In the Tuya app, it unfortunately shows the wrong time in the historical data graph. Does anyone know how to fix this? Does it show anyone a bad time too?

That is great to hear. My advice is to take lots of pictures of your build - before - during - and after along with any and all mistakes you made. Content is one of the things I wish I had more.

Thanks for your VDO, I just bought it one, trying to set automatic EC control by create a scene to trig a AB nutrient pump when EC getting lower

Thanks for the video, I am planning to try one for reef tank monitoring. Looks like the tuya integration could turn on and off smart plugs if it gets above/below parameters.

Not well, it didn’t come with anything to calibrate it. The solution I bought to calibrate it quickly lost calibration. So for a reef tank application it didn’t work well.

Purchased one. Long pressing the wifi button on the device does not appear to turn on wifi pairing. I think I may have a faulty device.

I bought one, but it doesn't come with a power supply, the box says US 110v but the manual says 6dc in, I wanted to know how you connected it using the USB input it has. thank you so much

i bought one and worked for about 4 days and the PH side of it failed. Searched reviews and alot of the same problem. Wondering if yiurs still holding up? Kind regards

Thanks for the sharing, I also own the Wifi 6 in one water meter which is bought from China online. I find it handy to use and set up for my reef tank, but it seems like the salinity sensor is not that accurate, even after calibration. I cross checked it with some renowned sensors like Hanna salinity checker, the error can be as much as 1.0 ppt, so I not sure if it was mine a defected one or the sensors are really that inaccurate.

Thanks for sharing. I don't use the salinity sensor, but I am in the U.S. and still am using the Tuya app to monitor my greenhouse. It is still working after more than 6 months.

No - unfortunately I don't. I checked it against my handheld meters, and it was close enough out of the package to not need calibration.

It has the ability to turn on (things like pumps and such) using the Tuya app. But I have not tried.

Hi mate, great video. Im not surenif i missed on video but when you use the wifi finction do you have to be in range or the wifi can be accessed anywhere via internet/cloud? Kind regards

The device needs to be connected to the local Wi-Fi, but I am in the US now and when my system was running, I could check from the app on my phone.

Hello, great video! I was wondering if you knew. If the wifi were to shut off, would this device still run properly and keep the parameters for alarms? I am trying to attach a solenoid to one of these so that when the salinity runs high it will automatically run the solenoid and release fresh water. However, there may be times where the wifi goes down. I just want to make sure it runs properly.

I don't think so. The software to control the alarms is in the Tuya app.

hi, i espect to buy the last device on your video to manage my aquariums (wild discus fishes) . i am happy to learn that you consider that it is a good product... my hesitation is about the probes calibrations.. i have very often meet problems with automatic calibration.. and i prefer manual ones, with a screwdriver ! Can you tell us, if you meet some problems with it , specialy temperature and ph calibration... (and also if it is easy to replace probes.. regards

Not sure about replacing probes, but the calibration can be adjusted mannually.

Sorry I don't. I am back in the US now. I still use the tuya smart app on my mobile. It is still working, and I can monitor the greenhouse from here.

Can you submerge the sensor probe in the solution and let it stay there for a long time? I have the handheld version but it is inconvenient taking samples everyday

I am pretty sure the 6 in 1 is designed to stay in the tank. The first one I purchased has been in the tank for 3 months with no issues. These are also designed for fish tank as they can also measure salinity. As for the the hand held, I am not sure. I would worry that as the water level fluctuates the electronics may get damaged if the level rises too high. The gasket may make it water resistant but not necessarily water proof.

I've been wanting to buy this but cant find a solid review in the internet. They also have a model that has a pH relay plug so you can connect that to a dosing pump, when pH goes off it automatically adjusts. It costs around 3k Pesos

1:22 The device shows the humidity outside, but the temperature inside the solution? Or is the temperature outside too?

I am not sure about humidity with the 6 in 1, but it has two temp measurements on the device screen. However only one temp measurement in the Tuya app.

Hi, i bought one of these and just set it up, build quality is good and setup is easy, however, both EC and PH are inaccurate. I benchmark using bluelab and hanna probes. It reports 0.7 higher EC and .4 lower PH, this is out of the box, did you calibrate it before use ? Or was the factory calibration accurate in your case ?

I used mine out of the box. I am back in the U.S. and cannot calibrate for now. I also noticed out of sync with my handhelds - but it is close enough to be useful.

Thanks for your video. Really hope you can tell me the power adapter/ power requirement. I saw the unit use DC6, is that true? The power unit only as an adapter to power the unit. Hello Matthew, I am in the Philippines and I purchased through an "Amazon" like website called Lazada. The product came from China and is available in both 220V and 110V applications. I tried to search for Yieryi on Amazon, but I was unsuccessful.

Salt S.G and PPT readings are not equal. i calibrated to 1.025 S.g. but my PPT says 28.7. its not the same. should be around 34 PPT
