For some reason they gave this guy, like, 3 different names. In game, he's called Uzu, on the Bandcamp release of the ost (which I believe is where the uploader got this track) he's called Uzu And the devs have this song on their SoundCloud page, where they call it Uzi Battle. WHAT IS THIS MAN'S NAME?!?!?

@ensignmarker 312 the reason for that is because in the game realities get messed up and mixed together and throughout certain events don't line up meaning that some names are different in one reality than in another. for example, Alex’s name is Alex Eagleston in some realities and Alex Eggleston in others. Sammy is either Sammy Park, Semi Pak, Semi Park, or Sammy Pak. Same with Yuzu/Uzu.

This sounds like a track for one of those modern demented Kirby villains who’s lost all grasp of reality/their sanity, and wants to take over Kirby’s planet (or a similar action) for something involving a terrifying eldritch abomination. Y’know, typical Kumazaki shenanigans.

The funny part was that Toby made a tweet in support of the game, and promptly deleted it upon seeing how lidl (crappy) it was, and the temper tantrum the dev threw when people didn't like it. Also didn't help a good couple of the battle themes were remixes of his song (Into the Mind).

The game has a lot of unoccupied content, around two hours in dialogue and story that change a lot what the game is. I think that was the version that Toby Fox saw

@@ilikegoblo4665 I like the gen plot and idea they were going for (it reminds me of another game/show series but i cant quite put my finger on it. probably homestuck??? or Lain or some shit) but the writing is definitely grating, like reading a fanfic off wattpad level (a lot of exposition/needless text). Saw a review talk about how the parts with no voice acting were def chill and really good

Robots call you basic, they mention an emo kid song lyric in the flavor text of Alex's weapon Vampire of the Goth, they mention FF 13 (Vella 13) being bad when you go through Vella's song "Distant Voice", Chrono Trigger is mentioned as their "childhood" (four years before, Alex would only be in his late teens.). It's all over the place

honestly i'm cool with music not fitting a given situation if it slaps hard as shit lol. i think it can even enhance the effect of the music if there's some juxtaposition. it's a shame the boss is so boring :/

This theme would be good if the game itself was as exciting and crazy as the song... The trailer and battles need to be more fast-paced and fun, but it's kind of a let down, since everything is stiff and slow, from the awkward animations, to the battle system, the fact you don't do that much damage damage to the enemies, it's like everything takes forever!

I personally rank Yiik on the same level as a majority of modern sonic games, in the sense that even if the gameplay or story ain’t that great, the soundtrack is still really solid.

This fight got fucking robbed, you were gonna run away from some giants or something but they just made it a dude and a mecha as regular encounters. Disappointing 😔 Song still slaps though Edit: Now that this got hearted I'm reminded that in a semi-interview livestream one of the devs said that scene was just for the trailer and was never meant to be in the game ;-;
