nah he's wrong and close minded, sorry for watching The Room during a 6 hour drive and not bringing a flat-screen with me to the car. It's just a smaller screen ffs, most phones today have better quality than TVs back from when David Lynch was a kid

@@DriscolDevil I'm saying it depends on the movie, of course the bigger the screen and the better the audio the better the experience is. But it depends on the quality of the movie if i should even care enough to go to a cinema to watch it, or to just kill time with it and conveniently put it on the phone

I thought the meta-commentary of The House That Jack Built was funny. I thought that von Trier's cringey Cannes panel Adolf comments were funny too. Maybe I am giving him too much credit for intentionally poking fun at himself and using his awkwardness for comedy, but I think I'm laughing with him.

Agreed, his movies are great. His last couple of movies, at least since Antichrist onward, are all basically Von Trier trolling those who hate him. It's comedy gold. And besides that, they're great movies too. His old movies are great too.

I think Adum would tolerate THTJB if he viewed it as a finale to Von Trier’s filmography, therefore the references to his own filmography and the “pretentiousness peak” are meant to be culminations.

Hangouts are 2-3 hours in length, there's a shit ton of people, and they all want to talk about things with Adam. Unfortunately, this kind of thing is inevitable.
