When I started my channel years ago, I had originally intended to only cover KagePro songs, but quickly realized that I needed to practice before I was ready to cover any of the songs in the series. So I started singing English covers of other songs and happily stumbled into the channel that I am today! So thank you to Jin, for the music that changed my future, and to all of you listeners that made this all possible.
This song has been a very long time coming, so I hope that you can enjoy all of the hard work that has been put into it! It was an honor to be able to work with such incredibly gifted musicians on this project, so be sure to show them lots of love 💙

She literally asks for music every time it's lunch time and since my dad has a more classical taste in music, we lunch with Elvis Presley, Beatles, Raul Seixas, Elis Regina, Edith Piaf, etc. So, if a kid like my sister that only hears this type of really really good music turns to me and says that she liked this cover, I can only assume that Trickle is absolutely nailing it :> Edit: And btw, she'll also ask (more like demand) to change the song if she doesn't like it. I think this is probably the smoothest English cover I've ever heard. The lyrics maintain the original feeling of the song, convey the message, and still sound REALLY good from an English speaking perspective. Amazing work.

It's alright to speak my mind from time to time" hits especially hard; it's like Kano trying to convince himself to be honest for once "I've got a story that you'll like" is so in character "Got a secret on me I've been holding back. My life's been behind a mask" is super simple but hits super hard "Since the day that snake gave me a heart of black. Still now, I can hear it laugh. 'With these eyes, you'll live your life like it's an act'" is the best translation of this line I've seen by far "Ah, try to chill! Did I get too real?" is 100% in character "I won't lie, I'll lie again" is so clever. Same with "If I'm breathing, I'm deceiving, Honestly, I'll never quit" "With eyes so red, I won't pretend, I'm not a monster in the end" is so COLD The entire part about Kido and Seto was simply brilliant "That's right, they're the same as me" it is crazy how you can interpret this as Kano describing their situation or Kano dissing them by saying they're as scummy as him "'Was that also fake?' 'No way, I swear on my name!' Oh what a shame, my life's a grave I'm digging deeper every day" bars bars bars bars "Each selfish cry, each stupid lie- the truth was lost from the start. And I'll whine 'Oh, I'm so lonely', But I'll always play the part" How much Trickle gets Kano's character is amazing "Don't look too hard, beneath the scars you'll find me grinning in the dark" is bone-chilling The entire last chorus is nothing but heat, nothing but gas. Especially the last line. Thank you Trickle for gifting us with such amazing lyrics

I was almost nervous to listen to it, as I didn't want to ruin the anticipation! However, it was just too tempting, and it is absolutely, terrifically, astoundingly amazing! I loved hearing how your voice has progressed! I also couldn't help but chuckle at your blatant attempt to strike fear into the Unsubscribed. I was grinning the entire time! The mixing was lovely! And, I thought it was a really cool way to show your interpretation of the song by the way you changed your tone when he was arguing with himself. It's a really deep, sad song, if you really pay attention to the lyrics, and I appreciate your artistic flare! This is an awesome way to start my morning! Wow, thanks for dropping another banger!! this one SLAPPED bro, your vocals were amazing and brought a ton of emotion into the song, and the instrumentals sounded super catchy too!! Everyone who played part in this did an awesome job👏👏 Also this cover hit me with a major wave of nostalgia, I remember this song being HUGE to some of the older kids in school after it got popular again.
