That helps me sometimes, changing grind and ship class. THese ships are very onesided though, torps and HE spam is the name of the game and that's pretty much it, so just be aware of that

I would focus more on playing Omono like an atlanta or Tokachi if you have played that. Use the kiting technique and just spam away. I will agree that Omono is definitely the least enjoyable ship in the grind. Shimanto is much better. And dont be afraid to chug torps in random areas even though you don't see any targets, they sometimes hit stuff randomly and that's good dmg
