He had good body control and with the leg sweep and wrist control. The commentator is correct it is hard to sink in hooks with someone that big and then they can reverse you because you cant get full technique locked in and their size. His choice is the smart one to wear on opponent in bjj and/or wrestling. And finished with Kimora
@nunyabizwacks67114 жыл бұрын
Yea he had trouble getting hooks in due to size and i thought his size might even help him defend that kamura a little more but nope
@studiouswadoo50274 жыл бұрын
socalled Yoel isn’t on your mediocre understanding of grappling. He knows if he puts his hooks in he’s in a compromised state because all the other guy needs to do is roll over and then boom he’s either in your guard or on top. You can’t just “put hooks in” against someone that size.

this is older, less wrestling prone romero. go watch yoel's wrestling film. he was insane in the 90s, completely outclassing his competition with ease. the surgery he got to fix his neck and face basically took away the chance at him wrestling during his MMA matches, which is why Yoel is a stand up fighter and chooses not to take fights to the floor. he risks hurting himself or dying, but that surgery definitely helped him eat leg kicks better.🤣
