We've been getting a lot of emails from people who are sick with winter colds and other ick! Here's a gentle restorative yoga practice for when you are sick.

This is the first movement I did after 8 days of Covid-19 bed rest. I’m quarantined in my bedroom. I cried in the middle of the video; I was so happy to be breathing better again and moving my stiff body. This video was perfect. I Googled yoga breathing sick and your video was one of the ones listed first. Your instruction and sincerity was heavenly. Yoga is my new medicine. Thank you

I too landed here after 6 days in bed with Covid. I was mid way through Breath 30 Day Journey when I was stopped in my tracks. Thank you Adriene for guiding me with yoga through life’s ups and downs. Truly a life saver.

Isis Santos Costa same!!! I’m like omg I feel like crap.... 💡 I bet my girl Adriene has a yoga video for it. I found her after having a ptsd episode. I didn’t know what to do, once I was calm enough I googled yoga for ptsd and I’ve been in love ever since. I swear by her vids. She’s got something for everyone and everything! Thanks Adriene!!

Used to wake up and follow Adriene every morning for months. Then I fell off for months more. Got my positive COVID results a day ago. Time to check back in and start the day off feeling my best again.

Doing this today on Day 4 of Covid. First day I feel like I can do anything besides moving from the bed, to the couch, then back to the bed again! Adriene, who knew when you posted this in 2014 that you would be supporting so many people during a pandemic!! Forever grateful for you.

I have a rare autoimmune disease so I changed that affirmation because my immune system is trying to kill me😂 Instead I said My immune system needs help to calm down and that is ok.

I got tested today and it was positive for covid, I am so scared and my family definitely didn’t help. But seeing this as the first comment really made me feel better. I’m starting with this yoga flow tomorrow. Wish me luck.

Okay so I just need to take a moment to appreciate just how amazing Adriene really is. Today I was feeling achy and fatigued but I've set myself a goal of doing a Yoga with Adriene video every day. I made myself a playlist of all my favourite practices I keep returning to but today I knew I needed something different. I type in Yoga with Adriene for fatigue and find this video. And boy was it just what I needed! Adriene really has a video for every occasion. And today I'm really grateful for everything she does for us and this community. Not only is she hella motivating, but she's also gentle and acknowledges that our bodies are different and that we're all at different points in our journey. I can't tell you how many times I've been so grateful for her giving alternative postures in a video or telling us to be kind to ourselves because all bodies are different. On top of that, she's always so fun and goofy and following her videos gives me a space to express my inner child and just have fun, which is so important! Thank you Adriene for being the best teacher. Love to you and to this amazing yoga community you've created!

I have an autoimmune disease and chronic fatigue and the yoga sessions of the last days are catching up with me today, but I made the commitment to do yoga everyday, so this is perfect for these down days :)

I've got ME and fibromyalgia too. Honestly Adrienne has been such a saviour. 2 years of yoga and the amount of good it's done is a blessing. Yoga, sunlight and good nutrition should be the first things you're prescribed for autoimmune disorders. Not pain killers, surgery and sleeping pills

I haven’t been sick in over 5 years. Have somehow avoided Covid, colds, flu, etc. -always chalked it up to my daily YWA! Whelp something got me; been testing negative for Covid but I’m on day 5 of some crud, so this practice was very needed. Felt inspired to Om three times at the end when Adriene invited us to a mantra. The vibrations helped clear my sinuses a bit and now I feel clear enough to mask up and venture to the store for some soup and juice. Loved seeing baby-faced Adriene in the OG house for this practice. ❤🙏 🕉️

currently have covid, and woke up sicker than ever today. it's easy to fall into negative, pessimistic, worried thoughts about my health. but this video helped me find some grounding and solace, and gave me a space to just be at peace. plus, physically felt great! relived a lot of congestion and swelling. breathing easier. will be returning here tomorrow, thank you :)

It doesn't take much for me to go to the dark side when I don't feel well. The slightest sign of a cold and I am lying on the couch feeling sorry for myself. This time I told myself to get out of bed and move my body, I feel much more positive and calmer after this video. Thank you

oh yeah yoga is medecine, so much than doctors tend not to believe I have fibromyalgia when testing my move range and wavy way of moving. I have quit antidepressant since I practice 1 hour per day and today I just felt like an old dog on a cold rainy day. After yoga I feel more like an old dog bathing in sunshine. :) Thank you for all you give to us, magical yoga is in the air!

This was the best medicine 17 hour post 2nd dose of the Covid vaccine. I'll be doing this a few more times over the next several days and I move through my response to the vaccine. Thank you Adriene.

I've been trying to do a round of your 30 days yoga. I can't seem to make it a straight 30 days without getting sick or having terrible period pain but you always have a video for everything so I can keep doing yoga even when I feel crappy. Thank you! ❤

Dear sweet Adriene 60 year old registered nurse here doing this video after being diagnosed with Covid. This is three years after the pandemic started and with all the precautions and masking coming back from a trip my husband and I succumbed to the virus. I am a firm believer of positive thinking, and I love your statement of “ yoga being your medicine”. Thanks again for all you do and for who you are. Now that I'm a Yoga Camper ;) I find I simply love having an "I" statement to accompany each practice. For this video: "I am healing. I am well!" I have strep throat right now, and though I'm thankfully on antibiotics now, it was one of the worst experiences of my life. My throat felt like it was being torn to shreds every time I swallowed, and I had so much phlegm (I almost choked multiple times) that I had to swallow every minute or so. I did not drink except to swallow ibuprofen - and by the way, even a double dose of that didn't really help. The doctor took one look down my throat and went 'Good God!' For everyone watching: feel better

I am in my third trimester of pregnancy and got sick, so got a bit sad about not being able to practice some birth prep exercises that I switched to from doing yoga with Adriene every morning and that's when I though about Adriene and her awesome videos again. I finally got to the end of weeks of stress and tension, to the day before my Christmas break - and tested positive for Covid. I now have to isolate through Christmas, and this little video helped me stretch my sad, achy body and process my emotions (which I find really hard). Thank you Adriene x

I have just done this as my first post covid yoga too. Lovely to see old yoga routines by Adrienne, she hasn’t changed one bit in her authenticity and motivation, it was always there. I figured covid can be included as “ ick”. Thank you it was just perfect. On the mend now ❤️❤️!

I change today's March pratice because I caught a cold in the last couple of days and I am feeling worse than the last previous days and I don't feel strong enough to do classic practice and again thank you so much Adriene ! You always have great solution for any situation ! I didn't want to skip my practice today ! Namaste.

I have been doing yoga with you for almost a year now and currently doing the Center ones! However, today I was too sick, and I am so happy that you gave this option as well. Recovering from Covid and looking for some gentle movement to do! Tested positive right before Christmas :( My BF and I in isolation until after the new year...going to give this one a try. I love Adrienne's yoga. Always brings me to the right place.

I know I've undergone major change when having a cold is no longer a ticket out of movement. I did not feel like doing the class marked on the calendar for today, so I searched to see whether Adriene had a video specific for a cold, and here it is....!!! Although I have bookmarked several gentle practices that I could have used instead, this was perfect... tissue box and eucaliptus oil included....! Thank you...!!! I

SimplyMayaB I thought the same thing when I woke up this morning "Bet Adriene has a video for colds/flu... lemme check" after searching " yuppers, knew it... Man she's awesome!" But seriously she's the only one who's yoga I've been following lately. She's just a joy to do yoga with.. no pressure, positivity, reassurance, love and down to earth personality is what keeps me from going to anyone else. ♥️

Lovely. And yes i had a huge smile on my face when you stated this blanket smells like horse. I am 5 days in my very first covid diagnosis. Which is 3.5 years into the pandemic, even though i think they dont call it a pandemic anymore. Pretty crazy flu symptoms with shortness of breath. But this was perfect. 2024 is my year in yoga. I will be dedicating 2024 to yoga, hiking, and holistic self care.

After 9 days of sleeping and resting because of Covid-19, I really felt the urge to do some yoga with Adriene! Thank you so much, I will return several times a day. My imune system works perfectly! 🙏🏼

This helps so much. I’ve had COVID for the past two weeks and it feels so good to finally be able to move gently again. I couldn’t believe how shaky I was during the forward fold and downward dog; those usually are my restorative poses and today they were stretching me to-and a little beyond-my appropriate limits. So grateful for the reminder to find grace where I am.

Funny thing is that I have the flu and decided to do my daily practice on the mat today vs in bed yesterday lol, so when I opened up the calendar practice for today I nearly pooped my pants! So great, and so perfect - thank you again!! Namaste ~

This was the first little bit of movement I felt brave enough to do on day 10 of having covid and being in quarantine, and it felt so good! During that seated forward fold I somehow was able to properly feel my body again for the first time in about two weeks and that brought me close to tears... Got to ease myself back into doing yoga regularly in the next few days now, and I'm really looking forward to it ❤️

This one was nice. I’m not sick…yet, but I noticed during yesterday’s practice my body felt weaker and that’s usually a sign I’ve got something coming on. Thanks to yoga, I’m more in tune with the ol bod!

Adriene, I love you. You have got me through so many different pains from illnesses to heartache. I've done every one of your 30 day challenges and teared up on the final day in pride for what I have accomplished. Woke up with a sore throat and a little fever and I immediately decided to look for one of your practices that might be geared towards feeling sick and BINGO! Thank you for that, Adriene. Your migraine practice already helped me a lot and I feel a lot better knowing that I'm taking care of my body and trusting it to heal itself on top of some traditional medicine. Namaste 💜

Thank you for this! I am an active person, but I've been sick in bed with Covid for a few consecutive days now, and my body aches from lack of movement and from laying down so much. I have so little energy, but this felt so good, and it gave me the nudge I needed to remember that I have the knowing and intuition to find what feels good. I just needed your guidance today, and I feel so much better now.
