@@trusfratedbunny934 yup those people above just don't wanna accept anything beyond an obvious cliche female/male relationship. everything from the beginning was written so well to depict a homoerotic subtext between the two male leads and was shown by those sensual touches, jealous looks, and just the way they both went above and beyond for each other. what gaon did for yohan, not one did he do for his best friend. even till the end, he defended yohan and went against her speculations and false accusations of yohan. If not for those people manipulating gaon, he would have never betrayed yohan.

honestly, that was the exact moment when i realised this is not your regular queerbaiting that the showmakers later claim as bromance. this was all very intentional. they literally put parallels between gaon's relationship with soo hyun and his relationship with yohan to cement the gay subtext. it's genius storytelling.

@@danny-lv6wmholy guacamole this got really long sorry. Tl;dr. It's just bromance. It's worth watching though if you find the premise interesting and like/don't mind bromance. I wish it were bl but no it's just bromance. The subs in this video are accurate but the internal bit they added isn't real per se. To be honest, I don't even think it's the *wink wink* "yeah this is just bromance" like a lot of Chinese Dramas. If it helps and without giving too much away: *BL stuff* They have good chemistry He literally goes over and basically never leaves They inexplicably(ish) share very personal stuff to be just friends/acquaintances/enemies(ish) They show a lot of concern and some jealousy for one another. There's even some, wtf only a super special friend would think that There's mostly(ish) not a female love interest for either Even in one dudes deepest darkest periods full of doubt he is still like, "ok but I still kinda trust him" and everyone is going "wait wut." Even when he internally doubts the other, to everyone else he still sorta defends him There's just so many of the, "ok but normal people don't do/think that when it's not about a partner/lover" A good bit of the story is about their "relationship" considering they don't actually have a relationship. There's basically enough bromance to sustain the illusion of something between them throughout the entire show. *Negatives* You get nothing besides suggestions They almost never touch even in times where you'd think anyone would touch another person. Granted there could be a defense for this. In my flawed memory, there are times when Ga On doesn't seem to have a lot of screen time so there's chunks without a lot of interaction For all the times they did/said/thought something that seemed like they were into one another there were also lots of moments where you would expect them to say/do/think something but they didn't There's quite a few just completely illogical decisions/plans/reasons in general Sorta already mentioned but all the bromance was purely words/thoughts/actions. There was almost no sus physical interaction, e.g., no lingering touches. At least that I can remember. Should you watch? Yes, if you like/don't mind bromance and the actual premise seems interesting. Personally I'm burned out on bromance stories but I liked the plot enough that I was able to enjoy their bromance.

The fact that Goan only choose to die by Yohans side is just such love to me🥹. Plus the tears in his eyes😩. These two really do give me beauty and the beast vibes. Even the scenes give it off too. Like when Yohan was watching Goan and Elijah in the garden and when Yohan was healing Goan when he got hurt. And even some of their fights just radiated beauty and the beast energy. And I think it’s lovely ☺️

5:45 was such a mission accomplished moment 😂 And you know what? Go back to the poster shooting bts. While Ga On vs. Yo Han photo is being taken, JS tells JY to come closer as if they are about to kiss and JY responds "is the genre romance now?". At the time I thought they were just joking around but actually Ji Sung was doing major foreshadowing for us there 😂 The bomb stopping scene was just too much, probably the highlight of EP16 for me 😏🔥 Thank you for this edit, I laughed hard at the on-point commentary 😂 Probably you should extend the video to EP15-16 as well because there were lots of intensity there as well 😳🔥

I don't think there's any doubt that Yo Han has a thing for younger men, both K & Ga On. But it takes Ga On the whole series to work out if his feelings for Yo Han are for him as a guru, a father, a brother or a lover. Really good work in this edit. Well done.

4:40 sh's reply here frustrates me so much because it further shows that her character only revolves around her romantic arc with gaon. I would not be as frustrated with this if sh also somehow contributed to finding more about the foundations action using her connections. As well as looking at other factors that put gaon in danger. But no, instead she's so intent in making gaon distance himself from yohan. She's making it seem that yohan is this omnipotent being who can put gaon in every danger he's been in, when it's damn obv it's not. Her morals are skewed in Gaon's favor, and damn there's even a point where I think the reason why Gaon does not have other friends is because of her lol. Or maybe the show intended for her to be this clingy childhood friend who gets jealous because now there's another person whom Gaon puts his affection into.

omg, i just finished this drama, then suddenly this editing video pop out in my yt tl. and i think yohan-gaon chemistry is just so lit! they sometimes act like married couple too, especially when they are with elijah. yohan is really like protective-father that can't act sweet in front of his daughter, meanwhile gaon is like a mom who really understands what their kid wants. then they fight about which the best for their daughter. the acting skill just amazing!

Golden Episodes where they hint viewers about the relationship between 2 main characters are 11, end of 15 and 16. Episode 11 - portraits Yo Han 's feelings on Ga On. But, by that time Ga On was dating Soo Hyun. Episode 16 - portraits Ga On 's feelings.

I watched this again with Soo hyun's perspective , and now I really sympathize with her . She loved ga on without any ulterior motives . She laid her own life just for one single objective and that was to protect Ga on , "a trouble causing kid" . She never had anything other than him as her priority . A self sacrificing lover who could do anything just for that one man . Episode 13 just gave us false hopes to shatter it afterwards . I just wanted to say this to someone and having no friends to discuss this with , thought it would be alright to address this here . Don't mind me .

Honestly Soo Hyun was the worst possible character in the show. She endangers someone else's child and is not at all apologetic for it. She doesn't tell Ga On who asked her to save him. And she's unnecessarily extremely suspicious of Yo Han even when the so called love of her life asks her to trust him. Hate that GaOn probably didn't even find out that YoHan was attacked and lost K all at the same time

All the speaking they did with just their eyes was so captivating. I love how they completed each other,they were two sides of the same coin. I have never watched a BL before (I only knew BL because of TDJ and BE). And I'm that kind of viewer who ships MLxFL.. But dang, TDJ is the first drama wherein I shipped MLxML for bromance or beyond. And it's the first drama wherein I thought SML and SFL were better off as bestfriends for life rather than having that very sudden affair then SFL dying abruptly. Idk why but I can't think straight with KYH and KGO's chemistry. It was burning 🔥! And Idk why the writer and director showed so much of their chemistry (which I think they noticed too, it couldn't only be that only us viewers noticed their body language) but went off with KGO and SH (then just cut it off). I think it would have been better with KYH and KGO having no female love interests. Their bond (as brothers or what) might have been highlighted even more. TDJ is a great drama nonetheless. One of the greatest for me this 2021. Anyways, sorry for my rant. And, I love your edit. Gives me a piece of what could have been. 💖

Although not BL, the chemistry between the two leads is soo good that it feels like watching a BL series.. it’s easy to get teary eyed once you understand why Kang Yo Han is the way he is.. from the outside he may seem harsh but in reality he does things for a valid reason (aka he actually cares about those close to him even if he doesn’t admit it).
