6.5 Years , but 32,000+ KMs only, due to extremely limited running since March 2020. Including some clips to demonstrate how the tyres behave in current times, NOT when they were new. Not sure if its time for a change already. Let me know in Comments. Tyres for Maruti Suzuki Swift. Maruti Suzuki Swift 1st Gen Tyre review.

PS : I am no longer running these tyres. I have since replaced the Yokohama Earth-1 Tyres with Yokohama Bluearth GT AE51 in the same size. Review of the same : kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rc6pnMWcveDDYo0.html

i feel yokohama earth-1 splashes mud over the car instead of throwing out far from car. i have to wash my car regularly since I have installed Yokohama earth-1 tyres. All the mud and water comes over car while driving during rains.

Hi @sajo21 - saw both your videos and your findings were very helpful indeed. I have been running on the Michellin XM2's on my Swift 185/70 R14 for about 6.5 years and 33k kms now and unfortunaltely can't source them any more in and around Mumbai. After being extremely satisfied with Michellin's excellent overall performance, durability and ride quality now its difficult to choose any other. But coming from whatever information gathered till now can you suggest if it would be better to go with Yokohama BluEarth GT AE51 or Bridgestone B250 ? Requirements: Good Ride Quality Durability Car running is less but mostly used for longer trips 500~ + kms Your advice would be highly appreciated !

XM2 equivalents would be the Continental UC6 ! Do check if you are able to source them for a good price..

Hey buddy first of all amazing video. You gave a good scenario. I have a couple of questions. I know it might sound insane but please answer it. I own a New Honda city zx CVT petrol 2020 which comes with tire profile 185-55-R16 stock Bridgestone tire. Almost did 35000kms with it. My tires got punctured many times so I shifted to Yokohama earth 1 tire. Due to budget issues, I didn't buy 4 tyres but replaced the front tires with 195-55-R16. And at rare it's the stock Bridgestone one 185-55-R16. The dealer told me after 10000KMS we will shift the front tires at back and install new earth 1 at the front. So does it anyway harm the car with respect to mileage, shocker, and engine performance? Do you think the dealer is right about this thing? Really looking forward to your response.

Of all the staggered (unequal size) tire setups, the most common one is having the broader ones behind and the narrower ones in the front. However, with just a 10mm difference between your stock and upsized tires, I don't think it makes much of a difference, atleast from a handling perspective or even a suspension perspective. Total difference in circumference being 1.7% only. I think you can continue to enjoy your car without worries in 99% of daily scenarios. Mileage will definitely go down a bit due to the wider contact patch, but is an acceptable tradeoff given improved handling, ride and GC. Speedo would be slightly off. PS : Honda might take a dim view incase a suspension or steering related warranty claim comes up.

Kindly suggest me I am confused regarding changing my tires on my i20 (185/65/r15) My stock b250 had lasted for 6 years now without fully wearing out. But since they have crossed their life I have decided to change. I live in Kolkata and my rides are 99% within city. With B250 i have seen at least 1-2 punctures a year overall considering all tires. After extensive search I have boiled down to two options Yoko Blue Earth GT Ae51 and Continental CC6. Budget around 6k (-/+200). Kindly share what you have on mind for my requirements

I have been using Yoko BlueEarth GT AE51 since the past 2000 kms. Though not silent as I expected, they do offer better cushioning than earth 1 and better puncture resistance than Continental ComfortContact6. Please check them out. Also, Yoko has way better and longer warranty terms than Continental.

Hai u almost replied for all comments and expecting reply for my comment too. I am having 2014 model I20 and its tyre size 175/70/R14 but I want to upsize 185/70/R14 to increase the ground clearance. I checked with hyundai show room and they denied not to upsize. But I have low ground clearance and I would like to upsize for Indian bumpy roads and not getting damage on high speed breakers. Please advice
@sajo21
@sajo21 Жыл бұрын
The car is 8+ years old, I wouldn't bother about what Hyundai showroom says. 185 section tyres with 70 aspect ratio will give you a 2.5% increase in diameter, or roughly 15 mm. Please go for this swap. Worst case, your handling will improve slightly even if the ride doesn't. PS : Have you considered spacers for your suspension to reduce bottoming out ?

Best tyres for comfort and noise other than michlein ( they are out of stock) for swift vdi 2016 model?? Also my stock tyres are 165/80/14 and I'm planning to upgrade to 185/70/14.So any harm or gain in this size??

Hi. I need to replace my stock apollo alnac 4g and have been studying extensively but unable to decide. Yokohama Earth1, Apollo 4G Life and Ceat Milaze X3 are my choices. My current tyres are soft and I’ve had numerous punctures hence want peace of mind this time around. If you could suggest pls.
@sajo21
@sajo21 Жыл бұрын
Yokohama Earth-1s are great if toughness is what one desires. The unconditional warranty for 18 months and standard fare after that is great as well. Ceat Milaze X3 are again very hard compound tyres, may last longer, but not as grippy in all conditions like the E-1. In Pune, they were about ~700 Rs cheaper than similarly sized Yokohamas.

@@sajo21 thank you so much. Here in Chennai apollo life and earth 1 are priced almost at par and to save some bucks I was looking at cheaper options. But then grip is something that is vital. Ill better go with earth 1 like you’ve suggested.
@sajo21
@sajo21 Жыл бұрын
@@ethanhunt2263 please check Ceat's website directly. I have bought tyres from there in Feb '22 and they provided home fitment services at no extra cost as well, though this was for a two wheeler. Price was also much lesser than what was quoted to me by shops.

@@sajo21 thanks. I checked but it is showing just one secura drive model and that too out of stock. But I’ve got the addresses of ceat shops and have planned to go see them myself. Im now torn between earth 1 and milaze x3. But one thing I’ve seen is most of the dealers trying to push michelin and bridgestone. Performance may be a thing but i think it has got more to do with the dealer commission per tyre.
@sajo21
@sajo21 Жыл бұрын
@@ethanhunt2263 If Michelin is available and at a reasonable price (P4 STs?).. why not? They are plush and grippy. You are right about dealer commissions. Bridgestone must be pushing them hard to ram B290s down everyone, but I did not find them worth the premium they were asking for. Continental UC6 is another tyre which is said (no personal experience) to be just as premium as Michelin and at a very good price too.

How is bridgestone b250 vs earth 1
@sajo21
@sajo21 Жыл бұрын
From what I have seen with colleagues vehicles, the B250 is a bit softer, giving a slightly better ride, but more puncture prone. E-1 is quite a bit harder. Here in Pune, both the Earth-1 and the softer Continental UC 6 are a bit cheaper (~5400 for the B290 vs ~4900 for the E-1/UC6 in July 2022), if it's a factor.

@@gaauravsharmaa4061 how old are those tyres? If you want to change to more comfortable tyres, please check Continental ComfortContact CC6. For budget options, please check Ceat SecuraDrive 175/60 R15, for just ~4000 Rs. It's about 2000 Rs cheaper than equivalent Bridgestone, which is a fair bit of money for me. From the Apollo family, please check the Vredestein Ultrac should you choose to upsize to 185/60 R15. They seem to be really premium tyres. Bluearth GT AE-51 seem to be in short supply in my parts, as most dealers try to push Earth-1 at nearly same price. Hard tyres + Hard Suspension makes me not want to go for Earth 1 again. PS : Get your suspension components checked from a trust worthy garage as well.
