Yong YEA- is NOT A YAKUZA!(Poor Voice Acting)
KZfaqr Yong Yea is getting heavily criticized for his poor voice acting of Kiryu kazama in the Like a Dragon Yakuza series . He has experience in voice acting but to me and many others he just sounds like himself. hes on a blocking spree due to heavy ridicule of his performance !! part of being a great voice actor is to be believable to emit emotion of the character thats being portrayed Yong Yea just isnt the correct character for such a legendary character !

Can't stand YongYea. The dude is so self-absorbed, and the irony is that he can't any criticism. He built an entire youtube career shitting on thousands of people but if you dare criticize him, 🚫 BLOCKED. Paper-thin skin

Also the original voice actor is Darryel he also voice as kiryu from yakzua 1 and one of the best English voice actor from yakzua 1 then return in yakzua 7 but he got recast and replace by a KZfaqr which is sad

This drama so funny. I heard his voice acting I probably would try not to make a straight face for what it seems like. He is better off voicing his name. YYYYOOOOONGG YEEERRR NO GOOOD.

Darryl Kurylo (2005, 2020) was the previous English voice dub and according to fandom wiki Kazuma Kiryu is supposed to be 50/51 years old in (Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name)

Yongyea is definitely miscast and not the right choice to voice kiryu and he blocked me on Twitter for no reason even though I deleted my Twitter account and haven’t said a word to the guy

To be honest bro didn't know you played Yakuza. But being an actor, it's not cheap. Always have to pay for classes, always getting training, always audtioning. Nothing is guaranteed. At least nothing is guaranteed unless you have a million subs on your resume. He only got that part just for that. He's not that bad of an actor, but he should've know that his voice range, is not for this character who's been known for 20 years. All in all people dream of getting that role with the experience to prove it. Union jobs ain't easy. But again that's for the average actor who doesn't have a million subs.

Ryu Ga Gotoku made a comeback in the west after chikai no basho was released. Most people play with Japanese voices here but I do feel Yong Yea did hurt Ryu Ga Gotoku's future.

Troy Baker, Steve Blum, or Bring back Darryl Kuylo he did better job as Kazuma Kiryu than YongYea.

Yongyea is a good guy but this showed hes too soft ! People weren't even criticizing him but his performance and he still took it personal lmao

I really wanted to give him a chance because I think he's a great actor otherwise but man, what a miscast. I genuinely don't know what the motivation was to cast him specifically but a whole lot of embarrassment could've been avoided.
