having had LVH due to an adrenal tumour and shocking blood pressure for best part of 3-4 years with 3 heart meds of varying types concurrently, once tumour removed and changed diet to low carb with intermittent fasting and exercise, lost excess weight and was able to stop all heart meds. Absolutely brilliant, doctor. The complex made simple! I had an ecg today under peculiar circumstances. There was prolonged QT and T wave combo in conjunction with very high blood pressure. 180/118. They thus escorted me to AE nearby, had a blood test twice for topronin, which was found non-present. No arhythmia. Electrolytes good. Threshold rbc anaemia, probably copd related. I have stage 3 copd, greatly degraded over the past 12 months. I got a copy of the ecg, which I couldn't understand, obviously, but which I investigated on the NET, giving me a decent layman's understanding. Your talk put it all together for me, very clearly. They gave me an appointment at a cardiac clinic. I'm now up to speed, thank you so much. Keep up the good work, enjoy! 😊

Thank you for giving a new heart patient hope. The doom and gloom is all I hear most of the time. It's so useful to have the facts and the sense of hope for the ability to reverse some of the damage I have. My only symptom of this problem was shortness of breath after eating. My doctor picked up on the problem and confirmed the diagnosis with an EKG in the office. Now onto a cardiologist for the Echo and possible stress test. My blood pressure has started to rise over my normal 115/75 in recent months. And I do snore so sleep apnea is a possibility. Hoping it's not too late to make significant, beneficial changes in my heart condition. Thanks again!

I want to ask you one question please. Does mildly thickened mitral valve sure to progress or it sometimes stays the same. I have trivial MVP( sometimes the report says mild and sometimes trivial) and mild (in some reports trivial) MR. I remember having a sore throat for a long time when I was a kid. And it went away. I'm 35 now. I was told to take penicillin 6 every 21 days which I did for three plus years and stopped. I have chest pains and shallow breathing to which my cardio said my heart won't cause me such symptoms. So I went to a gastrologist and was diagnosed with gerd. Symptoms gets little better during and after medication but it starts again. I want to get my regular echo done but I have to travel to another state to get it done since there are no cardio in our state as of now. I will be very happy if u reply. I wish I can mail you my echo reports. Thank you.

So a family member (47/M) recently received his Transthoracic Echo Report results (tested due to Paroxysmal atrial fibrillation) test notes included : 'Mildly dilated left atrium' 'Trace mitral regurgitation in the Mitral valve' 'Trace pulmonary regurgitation in the Pulmonic valve' My question is, are these regurgitations preventable / correctable / a major concern? And dialated atrium....does that mean an enlarged heart? Sounds scary Kind regards and stay safe and healthy

Oh I wish I could find a doctor like you. I’ve been having palpitations (irregular beats) which make me feel really ill ( weak, dizzy, chest pressure, upper back ache). Been diagnosed with Costochondritis. But I’m not sure how this effects my heart. All heart test gave been ok. But I’m still getting these episodes when I do anything strenuous like lifting or pushing. If I can’t sort it soon I’m going to lose my job 🤷🏼‍♂️😔

Thank God. I was just diagnosed with this..71 years old..and very worried. I appreciate you going over this problem. I'm going to be careful...eat healthy and easy physical exercises daily. My BP goes down rapidly when I have physical exercise and then I drink salt water for the low BP but now I'm thinking I better not do that!! Dont want the BP to go up too high. Any suggestions? I see my cardiologist in 2 weeks. Thank you!!
