I've learned so much about yo-yos just by watching all of about two of your guys' videos! I've had the same Yomega Dash for, I don't know, 8 years or so. I've never lubed it (did that today, thanks trumpet valve oil from middle school!), or any kind of maintenance outside of new string. I legit wait until the string snaps to replace it; have a few nicks on my yo-yo because of that. You should make a video on when you should replace your string by the way. I'm pretty casual though. I just pick up yo-yoing for awhile until I can't learn anymore tricks. I always come back though.

@R3dtooth7 i dont own a silenus, but topyo in general, is one of the most under-rated best yoyo companies with actually fair* pricing. the silenus is dope bro, i def. have checked that yoyo out, i wish i had it. the mojo, for 13 bucks outplays all my other plastics and i have about 30. im glad to hear that, i really am. topyo and iyoyo are top contenders!

I have a problem where my unresponsive yo-yo is responding to binds a little too well so it is becoming responsive. I lubed the bearing and it didn't seem to work. Please help
@smartnothard240018 күн бұрын
That’s what brought me to this video! My response pads are just below the rim of where they sit so I think the string rubs against the body of the yo-yo and the friction causes it to bind a little to ambitiously. It’s worth adding that I have never worn response pads out enough to where they need changing. This has only happened to a Dove and a Peregrine, both of which I bought used from a professional yo-yo player. I don’t think most players have the ability to even wear response pads out! An inexpensive fix either way ❤

Perfect timing guys... I'm a fairly new thrower and it was something I've been wondering for a few days. I'm having the odd problem though that sometimes my flairy binds aren't engaging and sometimes they are... I'm sure the technique is the same because it's the first thing I check. The string starts to bind... you can hear and feel it but the yoyo never starts the wind up. I've had the problem with a few of my yoyo's but it should be pads because they're pretty fresh... Same with string... could it be about spin speed?
@alexmyx51907 жыл бұрын
It could be not spinning fast enough, something to do with the pads, or most likely you are dropping the string to fast. When I was first learning the same thing happened to me. Make sure you lower the string and don't drop it until it has grip on the response pads. If that still doesn't work let me know.
@jaden73237 жыл бұрын
AngryRasin maybe not enough string got into the gap to make the yoyo bind
@torasin137 жыл бұрын
Thanks... A normal bind will work it's just the flair binds... so I'll keep an eye on the string... might be the spin speed too. Thanks for the pointers.
@torasin137 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate will pay attention to that and see.
@torasin137 жыл бұрын
Worked it out... turns out it's the string... once it get a bit worn it won't bind properly anymore... never had the problem previously and could basically use a string until it was dead but now that I'm adding flair in once it's wearing a bit it stops binding... going to swap to kitty string fat or slackies and see if that helps.

What should I do if my unresponsive yoyo (Winter solstice) is starting to respond when being pulled up? I've only had it for a week or 2 and I can't get my grinds going because whenever I pull it up to my hand to grind, the string just begins to wind up the yoyo/snag without me doing a bind. This only starting happening about 5 days ago and It's really frustrating and I've tried switching strings and cleaning/lubing my bearing but it just made it worse. It's too responsive is my point. All the videos I could find talk about a yoyo not responding well enough but I can't seem to figure out how to stop it from snagging/responding. HELP!

I put on new response pads and my unresponsive yoyo is now responsive (only when I get a very strong throw and give it all the slack of the string, and when I'm doing finger spins, sometimes). I don't know What's wrong or if I missed something in the video.

Changing response pads will not cause this to happen. Most likely the bearing is just a tiny bit responsive. Have you ever lubed it? Also, try changing the string.

So I was wondering, just for curiosity sake, (and just in case I get the yoyo, which odds are I won't, but who knows) will you guys be getting any new colors/ getting back the green canon yoyo in stock any time soon, if at all? Also, will any new colors be coming to the freehand pro anytime soon, if at all? By the way, I am talking about you guys' site, and speaking of your site, I noticed you guys did a video about the King's Yomen a while back. Are you guys still doing that? Anyways, thank you for any answer you give, and God bless you guys, your site, and anything/anybody else you guys come into contact with! Thanks, Derp. :)
