2016 has been a breakthrough year for Helsinki’s Yotto a.k.a Otto Yliperttula. His latest single ‘The Owls’ saw him pick up his 4th consecutive ‘Essential New Tune’ from Pete Tong and his first ‘Hottest Record In The World’ from Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1. Yotto returns to Anjunadeep with ‘Cooper’s Cup’ the highly anticipated second instalment in his three part Twin Peaks inspired series.

From what I've observed, Yotto loves to accentuate his bass lines (to the damn utmost [I personally love it]). Then he sticks to 2, 3, or maybe 4 notes throughout the song, all while adding some complementary background jingles. He then usually breaks it down with no percussion, often building hard into a grand finale. however, he maintains a constant groove, not unpredictable, but powerful for dayum sure.

his melodies are usually pretty fast too (personal space, aviate) which makes the song very driving

I was more trance guy back in the days but the mainstream kicked that scene's ass too hard. Nowadays turning more here to find that pure electronic sound it's all about. :)
