I can 2nd this, that at least 90% of you that are getting your sisterlocks snatched into grids every 6-8 weeks will experience thinning and or baldness within 3 to 4 years down the road. Our hair isn't designed to be put in grids like that. Take your control back of your beautiful locks.... ✌🏾

@@livesimply-777 grids are the little blocks that the locks are parted in neatly. Mostly with sisterlocks.. The pattern of the locks..

I took over my retightenings last year after watching your video. I def stretch them out. I will touch up the locs that need "attention" but other than that, I'll go 8-10 weeks between reties. I also like the fact that I know what is going on with my crown, b/c I'm the one tending to it.

I have been following you for years and I recently took out my thick locs and started my own microlocs and I always maintain my own hair, I don't trust stylists, it's not like it used to be. I am a retired stylist and I got out the game because it seemed that the clients, I was getting was more concerned about a style and not the health of their hair. I am glad I am in a place where I know my hair, have learned my hair and I am not dependent on anyone to maintain my hair but me. I came from a background of getting my hair done every two weeks but when I became an adult, I got tired of sitting in a salon all day and depending on another person to do my hair. We women have to stop being so dependent on people and start learning how to do things for yourself. Trust me I am learning new skills every day and doing your own hair should be one of them. Why yes! This goes without saying. I hope many of us sisters remember that diet is critical and is the inner work that we must do. I have mentioned this often over the years. The irony though- is that you can eat as healthy as you want- if you continue the retraumatization, you'll still end up in the same place-- bald and thinning. The reminder is great, however.

I will be 4 yrs in my Sisterlocs in Sept of 2024 and have lost 2 locs in the last year. I'm concerned about how thin my roots are right now. I talked to my Sisterloc consultant about loc knots this past Saturday at my renew. She heard about it and was interested. However, when I asked about stretching out my retie to 8 weeks I didn't get the since it was a good thing. Yet, I have to do something. I gotta do something.

I left the thing that did my sister locs, she was rude and passive aggressive plus there pieces of my hair that weren’t locked. Meaning they were just a piece of straight hair not even locked at the base of my scalp so I left sister locks all together and I didn’t cut my hair out. I literally took my hair out with a very fine tool and yes, I lost a lot of hair but I’m on a journey to find somebody that is reliable, dependable and has a good attitude towards their clients and I don’t think I want sister locks anymore. I am considering micro locs or traditional locs because I’ve had too many instances where I’ve met people or women with sister locks, and they were downright snobbish and nasty basically giving me the feeling that that I can’t afford it or it’s too good for me or some thing that is unreachable for me. Wow I don’t allow that perception in my head so the whole sister lock thing is not for me. You are a rare sister, LOC consultant. And there’s one other woman on the Internet from Florida. She’s very informative and she’s because regular videos on sister locks and other types of marks and she is a sister LOC consultant so thank you for the video.

No sis! There is no interlocking with this methods. This is one of the main reasons why the hair loves it! Stress free.

2 years in and my edges are gone. I have to make a change. The locticians give you no feedback on how your hair is progressing. It’s a money game for them.Its about time and money.
