this reply is very old, i know. they have stated you'll lose your license for running a red light, but driving on the sidewalk, even several times, will only give you a fine of 2000 rubles, which for your information is less than 35 and a half dollars. To me, that's real problem; sociapaths literally being granted a free pass from putting people's lives in danger. Pregnant woman, driving on the sidewalk, on her phone, running people over with the war cry "then i'll fucking run you over" getting away with it by paying 35 dollars. The world we live in.

It´s very likely that people like this girl who continue acting like morons and do not back up have some money to pay off the police or knows someone who works in government. We are talking about Russia. It´s common/more easily than other countries to give a little cash and make tickets go away. In the end, this will never change in Russia in the next 10 years because the people of Russia (the majority) support their corrupt government. They support this corruption because most were brought up when most in Russia were poor, and today most are average earners ie enough to get by but a lot more than their parents had. They are happy with this and are easily persuaded to support corruption as to them they have very good lives compared to their parents. It´s going to change in 10 years because Russias children of today are going to want more than just getting by, like all countries develop so to will Russia regarding this. Basically what I am saying is this; Russians are happy/put up with their government because when they were small children their families had nothing. Today they still have little but to them it is a lot. Why risk losing a little when they see the outcome can mean it may be nothing again. Putin is no idiot, he knows exactly that he has the Russians by the balls because of this. The small children of today, though, when they get older they will want more than a little, and at that time their will be less corruption accepted by the people ;)

We got emergency here too you know. The police, ambulance or firefighter drive on road. People must leave the passage when the siren is on, that's all.
