Seeding in the spring? How dare you!! people think it is the hardest thing you could possibly do... and they aren't Completely wrong... These are the steps that I use for a successful seeding and for my I would call this a success. The PNW is built a little different when it comes to weather and for us a "normal" spring is the perfect time of year to seed your lawn. There is multiple sources that I have read from WSU that back up my thoughts on seeding in the spring.

Anyone else crazy enough to do a full lawn seeding in the spring? I know most people shy away from seeding in the spring (rightfully so) but I know that the PNW weather (on a normal year) is different. That’s what made this whole thing a success…. Kinda.

Turned out pretty good. It will fill in on its own nicely. Just make sure you water properly. I did a spring seeding this year also with Blue Heat GCI. It was not as big as what you did. I seeded early and my germination time was at 21 days it wasn’t hot enough. The bare spots will fill in . That’s what’s awesome about KBG. Great Job 👏

I have always regretted spring seedings. But hey in autumn you can do a Overseed and top dress. For now keep it feed and watered. Good luck k

Thanks Travis. It really has been unusual spring weather up there. Usually it’s a cake walk to seed. It will look great by Halloween 😜

Next week overseed? Nice that will be good timing with this weather too. Today is the first day it has felt actually hot here and it's only 80.

The one thing holding me back is our dogs using it as a bathroom how did you handle that

That's the worst! I have a separate fenced off area that my dog can ruin the grass. That's really the only way that works. I don't do any of those treats.
