Idk how I didn't pick up on it while commentating the script, but I believe the fact about needing to build to the height limit in order to mine the dragon egg is wrong. I believe you just have to have 16+ block walls around the egg in all directions. Armand Guillet also asked if you can just surround the egg w/ water, which I hadn't thought of, and YES, you can. Sorry we didn't think of that for the video itself!

This is the first way I learned how to get the egg. I legit forgot the torch trick for some weird reason. (Not the world height thing. I just looked at the wiki for how far it could teleport, and then made sure it couldn't.)

I actually mined the dragon egg on a semi-anarchy minecraft server by just placing slabs in a plus shape around the egg, 12 blocks in each direction and I got it first try by touching the egg Edit: *destroyed, not mined

There is a mod for 1.12 called chisels and bits, it let you build litteraly anything, any shape out of any block. U should check it out

@@zbbzbb4761 not out of any block, there are alot of blocks that can't be chiseled (including some modded blocks!) Plus the fact that any block that usually makes a connected texture when placed next to each other like the Antiblock of chisel, when chiseled it loses the connected texture which makes it look weird, but maybe that's just because I'm using an older version idk, also now it's for later versions too

I always thought breaking the dragon egg with a piston was supposed to be like that and not a glitch. I also thought that soulsand is just sticky mud that the player sinks in and that it why it slows the player down (it is often used as mud in builds because of this). It would make more sense if magma blocks make bubble columns go up, not down, as it boils/heats up the water and thereby makes it go up.

The bubbles originally went up while still sucking things down, because thats how it works irl, but players found it unintuitive, so they changed it to better convey the game mechanics at the cost of realism. they added the soul sand thing after because they still wanted something that made bubbles that went up

About the waterlogged building, by using the debug stick you can waterlog a double slab so it looks like a full block more than a stair

I think that soul sand pushes you up is because it’s like all other nether blocks: they react differently (strider gets cold, lava turns to obsidian, endernan and blaze die, etc.)

I’ve been aware of the dragon egg thing for a long time. I believe there used to be another way to pickaxe it. I think it was that you start mining the blocks around it and then switch to the dragon egg without releasing the mouse button.

Huh... With that in mind, I think they should've reversed what Soul Sand and Magma Blocks do in water. Heat rises, so magma blocks should blow you upward. While soul sand should keep sucking you down as it usually does. I'm guessing they only switched it around to make the magma blocks into more of a damaging trap that could pull you down into itself.

I already knew that I can mine it. Some plugin makes it so I can't break other people's blocks so somebody claimed an d.egg and I tried to mine it. Mines like netherrack.

Fortune 3 works on 2 high plants and crops, So by planting 1 rose bush you can get like 6 from 1, but planting the fortune rose bush still functions as normal, so boom infinite rose bushes to be used in a composter so boom, infinite bone meal, which you can use on fortune crops and boom infinite carrots

Debugging issues that make no sense and can't possibly happen is all part of development. Sometimes, the computer takes what you wrote and does things with it that you just don't ever expect or think to look at. This happens to me at work and I code in Javascript, and interpreted language; Java is compiled, and compilation adds a TON more possible ways for code to do things that don't make sense when you're looking at the raw source.

They should bring back the fire thing in an attempt to ffix the mysterious crash Maybe try adding a new explosion type that includes fire by default?

The wither bug is a cause from the fire it emits fire as ot explode and the fire is every where when it explodes all the fire starts at once and a plus particle effect

It makes sense that the egg can’t be naturally mined because it could be the eggs natural defence system against being destroyed and also how it teleports when hit. Pretty Cool really
