I agree with this. I spent time when I was younger learning how to meditate, sitting and breathing and finding the inner calm. Now, any time of day or night, anything that is happening, I simply close my eyes and take a breath or two and I'm there again. Nothing ever seems so big anymore now that I can stop, slow it down and find the inner peace within me any time I need.

I agree with this because I also meditate. Anyway, as an aside. Very educative. I love his videos. Please allow me to interrupt. I do research on how Buddhism disappeared in Bihar. I realized it never disappeared from Bihar. Buddhists simply failed to research Indian Buddhism. They looked at Buddhism through the sphere of their own cultures searching for only the Buddha. Buddha had a myriad of names in different villages according to his teachings there. Example. His favorite teaching was 'Lust and desire causes pain. Remove lust and desire, and pain is removed'. Translated into Bihari (where the Buddha story took place) it is DHUKH HARAN meaning to remove dukha. Three dozen villages pray to DUKH HARAN Baba. Its clear that DUKH HARAN Baba is none other than the Buddha. Problem is Buddhists are searching only for the Buddha. In the real Vaishali the Buddha begged for alms. The locals there pray to 'BHIKHAINI' Baba (Beggar Baba). Bhikhaini was mispronounced by Buddhists as Bhikshu. Who is BHIKHAINI Baba. The Buddha no doubt. But people are searching for a man called Buddha. In the real Vaishali, in Beluha the Buddha suffered a sickness and felt he had grown old. The locals pray to 'BURHA' Baba (Old Baba). Who is BURHA Baba. The Buddha no doubt. In the real Vaishali the Lichavies pressurized Buddha not to die. They trailed him to Bandagawan pressurizing him not to die. To put pressure in Hindi is DABESHWAR. Three dozen villages around the stupa where Buddha gave the Lichavies his patra, the villagers pray to Baba 'DABESHWAR NATH' meaning the man who won the pressurizing game. It was the the Buddha no doubt as he gave the Lichavies his patra and succeded in sending them back. But Buddhists are searching for the Buddha. Forgive me for commenting out of the topic. Absolutely the truth! sometimes even with 10-plus years of practice meditating, life can get in the way of your inner-treasure of happiness and sway you away. It takes determination and patience to ward off Maya and keep your eye (third eye) on the ball. Never stop meditating ,even when you feel distracted and feel like nothings happening. Its all practice to the "big picture" and theres no way to get there without putting in the time! Namaste!

The destination is not to be found. You are already the purest form of joy and happiness. It is your attachment and association with maya that distorts your vision and makes you see a gap between yourself and God. You are inherently beyond maya, it is when you look through the lens of maya that you see yourself as a part of it. When all attachment is removed, all that remains is the self. Embrace this permanent higher state. Do not seek it in only meditation. Become it and reside as it every second.

I appreciate you and your efforts of putting these messages out there for the benefit of all . Thank you 🙏 A month ago, I told myself I will practice meditation every day (no excuses, no exceptions!) instead of only now and then. It's now been 29 days of practice and it's becoming easier to quiet the mind (even when not sitting/meditating) and I have found a happiness and appreciation for life that I was not aware of within myself thanks to mindfulness. If you are reading this and have thought about trying/practicing meditation - do it! If you can simply have awareness of your breathing, you can meditate. Do away with expectations and judgments in your practice and just "go forward" in mindfulness.

@@natimages3 by all respekt to all praktioner of spirituell Prozesses. For me it doesn't work till now. I can calm myself down to a certain degree. @@lotharluder2743 Hi Lothar, I used to sit in the full-lotus position comfortably when meditating then I had issues with my hips so sitting that way brings great pain. Now I sit however it is comfortable and stable for me to meditate. My teachers always reminded me, "stand, sit, laying down, walking or whatever postures, it doesn't matter as long as it helps to train the mind. You can be liberated while sitting in meditation, on your knees gardening, on the toilet seat, walking..."; Everyone deserves to be happy. He also said if you can only find awakening in sitting meditation, then all the hens are awakened beings. It is a crazy world but there is no perfect world (internally or externally). Some days are more difficult than others, that is to be expected as we practice to awaken ourselves to reality and not to search externally to satisfy what the thinking mind wants. If you can be content with a bad day as with a good day, you are liberated. You say that now it is working for you and you can calm yourself down to a certain degree; I say be happy that you can do that. Awakening and liberation from suffering is only one moment at a time. We may attain it in one moment for a second or more then we lose it and if we continue to practice and stay present, we'll experience it again. The goal of meditation isn't to find happiness because happiness is a product of the mind when one is suffering in the moment. Peace and happiness can't be created. Whatever the momentary experience is, fully observe and accept it as it is and no further, then the peace and happiness can manifest. Happiness is a word that can be a trap, I think if you practice to realize contentment with the present moment and experience, then "happiness" will self-manifest. Continue to practice, I wish you peace and contentment.
@natimages3
@natimages3 2 жыл бұрын
@@lotharluder2743 One type of practice is "letting go". When you meditate, any mind objects that come up, acknowledge each and let it go. If happy thought arises, acknowledge it and let go; if anger arises, acknowledge it and let go; if pleasure sensation is felt, acknowledge it and let go; if the mind is disturb or full of thoughts, acknowledge that it is that and let go; if the mind is peaceful, acknowledge it and let go... Train you mind that way then you will experience equanimity. When the mind is equanimous, there is nothing to be attached to. When there's no attachment, there's no birth, suffering and death. Happiness can not be found in the future nor past. Past and future are false state of the egocentric mind. Life and happiness can only be experience in the here and now. Happiness is always with you, let go of everythings that obscure the awaken mind then you'll find happiness.

In the deepest dark I had very clear awareness of my Existenz without knowing anything perceiving anything else. May be thats one of the reasen I have be always convinced about me as an immortal Soul. Up and a while I had sudden attacs of deep ecstasy feeling about devine allpervading Power. Now I am an old man almost 68 and still researching for spirituell advancement. While fooling a little arround. Also teaching Kids Martial Art as a sporting old Man. Inside I feel often still like young boy but the body of course even in good training is more going in direktion of more limitation. To overcome the fear of death and helping other to overcome this fear too is for me very important. And of course to fight inner and outside demons. Whether we practice hating the other side, or finding peace within, our thought process wires our neurons and we become what we mentally consume. Metaphorically, we can eat love and peace or hatred and judgment. Most people eat a bit of both. When we become more aware of that we can shift more to the peaceful meal.

I taught an unhappy person to meditate, a while later they told me they tried it but it didn't help, I then explained using the analogy of charging your phone, it isn't a system of repair that you do a few times to repair, it's a daily recharge system that you just do every day, forever and the change will be gradual but long lasting.
