In this episode, we left Shadian and headed to Pingyuan Town, a Muslim village on the eastern border of Yunnan. Along the way, we encountered many unexpected sights: temples nestled in deep mountain hideaways with nuns practicing within, Catholic churches in impoverished mountain villages, pirate ships built in the middle of farmland, and distant legends about Pingyuan Town... Let's step into this mysterious town together.

My sister and her friends visited one of the muslim villages in China during cold season many years ago. It was a great experience. She was glad she brought lots of heat pack and socks. The only thing she couldn't escape was taking wudhu in freezing cold water esp for fajr prayer. She was shivering and teeth chattering 😅

2:23 i died when viona used the word 'peasants' cos we dont use this word in modern times 😂😂😂 the word peasant is used in medieval european times where the royals insult their own subjects with this word. If u r not a royal, u r a peasant.

China is not Europe. In China, farmer is just a professional title and there is no discrimination. My grandfather is also a farmer. In China, farmers have their own subsidies.

In China, the words "farmers", "disabled people" and "workers" do not have any negative meanings. They are just names. I think people who have discrimination in their hearts will be very sensitive.

@@talalge you mean European context? In Chinese history peasant is used in many instances. All that means agricultural farmers and China has a history for farmer upraising. European elitist racist system has many different meanings and we aren’t Europeans here.
