I feel no sympathy for this woman. She gained legal status to stay in this country plus a lavish lifestyle by marrying him. Even before becoming president, most Americans knew his track record as a man and she still chose to marry him. So what if she's forced a prenup. The term is a thousand-yard stare (or two-thousand-yard stare) comes from a soldier on the battlefield that has seen the horrors of war up close, shellshock/PTSD, dissociation from self, flashbacks, Panic attacks and more. Nekro Dean It is a term that I personally use to describe someone who is so traumatized for whatever reason, who is on alert at all times and expecting something bad to happen - a pained, terrified, sharp and very focused look to the Eyes. . HAUNTED. This was not a "rape" of a term as you suggest but merely a personal difference in Semantics. Wealthy men have a lot of beautiful women to choose from and Melania was a print model not a famous top model. She actually did well in terms of money. I saw a documentary about Eastern european women and these Marriage tours that are really sex tours, there are tons of really beautiful girls and most of them get used by old or strange American men who are no where near as rich as Trump. One of these guys was on SSI. Melania is not stupid but she probably is trapped now. Probably a bad prenup too.

We will never know the facts (until) one day Melania could speak up of what he said. I can lip read (due to my hearing impaired from birth) but in this case, his head was turned so I could not read his lip. I can tell when he turned his head, (look at his cheek-left side) he was still smiling, then suddenly went flat. He did not smile (fake smile) then when looking at his wife. Then I believe one word was spoken from his mouth to her, maybe two words. I believe only one word was spoken. He was quick to speak a word or two then turned around facing away from her with his straight stern face. What possibly could he said to her that made her use that face expression that had hurt her feelings. Again, could she be trying to send a message to the public by her feelings? Could she be signaling "help", don't listen to this man? I think of Diana/Charles (England) of how unhappy she was in her marriage and she displayed a lot of unhappiness face expressions when she was with him.

In my opinion, this is the look of a woman who is married to, or in a relationship with a Narcissistic abuser. I know that look and the feelings that accompany it all to well; because I have walked in those shoes. Narcissists are insidious in how they get inside your head. They can control, manipulate, humiliate, devastate, embarrass or crush you in ways that you never thought possible, with just a few words. At times I wished the earth would open up under my feet and swallow me. Narcissists 'rule' by implied threat, if not outright violence. And the worst thing is they keep you off balance and walking on eggshells because you never know when or why it will happen; only that it will. Sadly, they can give a 'silent treatment' that could make hell freeze over if they so desire because they are not happy unless they can make someone else miserable. I believe that more than likely that is what we were witnessing in his behavior toward her that day.

I was going to question the idea of her being an introvert due to those now infamous nude pictures of her that I've seen, but then I thought that perhaps it is easier to pose nude in front of people you don't know if you put on a persona to do so and far more difficult to be picked over by the American public as a First Lady. I only know of her what I've seen and I feel like she is truly out of her depth in this role and will need support, guidance and time to become at least moderately comfortable in it. She seems like a good mother to Barron and wants to focus on raising him and I commend her for that. I wish her well in all future endeavors, too and hope people will give her a chance.

you need to watch the entire video with audio. it was in the middle of a prayer, when the pastor made a joke about the rain.. everyone laughed. Trump was commenting on joke to Melania while the pastor went back to prayer. Melania then went back into prayer mode...that's all. you know I get it that we all have opinions, but we really should base our opinions after looking at all the evidence, not just a small audioless snipet of video. I'm sure if the Democrats invested there money they wouldn't be complaining....but they are more worried about what black lives matter does.

Trumps only successful because he inherited wealth and fame from his father, think the male equivalent of Paris Hilton, with the same IQ... Milania is a mail order bride, Trump clearly just parades her around as a trophy wife

It's not, the timing of her smile seems very off if you watch it reversed. But either way she obviously has a fake smile while Trump is looking at her and looks annoyed while he's turned away from her.

If you watch a video of this incident with a wider shot, you'll see that Ivanka, who is standing behind Melania, leans out and says something to her father. He was, no doubt, responding to her and pretty much ignoring Melania. Melania felt snubbed by this, however unintentional it was. No doubt Melania harbors some jealousy towards Ivanka because of her close bond with her father, but she just needs to get used to it.
