Today we take a look at Ceva Logistics Ltd (FTH), Nasmyth Rd, Daventry NN11 8NF.
We speak to secuity and have a look around the outside and highlight a few issues, mainly the pavement parking which would block a pushchair/wheelchair from passing.
We try to mention this to the bosses when they come out but we are suprised at the lack of interest in the matter.
Many people get involved on this one.
Enjoy!

The thing is, imho if you are being obstructed on a public path by a parked vehicle, and your using a mobility scooter, or pushing a pram, and you or somebody else scratches their, cars, they wont be able to claim for it, also, if your going past their car that is obstructing a public path, and you get a injury from their vehicle, they should be liable, IE rust sticking out catches your hand, and cuts you, risk of infection etc, if you fall because you have had to squeeze though a tight gap or go onto a grass bank and slip and fall, again these inconsiderate bar holes should be made to give you compensation

Hi D J, after you have been around there for several minutes one of the 'security' staff comes out beyond the boundary of his responsibilities and asks if there is any way he can help and when you tell him about the badly parked cars he does not want to know!, did he really want to be of assistance or was that opening gambit an example of passive aggression?. He then just walks away when you say there is a relevant security issue that might interest him, does this confirm that he was only ever a bored tyrant looking for someone to bully. The place round the side where those plastic pallets are stacked is all marked as car parking spaces, thus causing the overcrowding that left available. Bad and inconsiderate site management, further demonstrated by his failure to get to the facts about drones. The final encounter was going quite well but in the end they could not stand there being corrected by you, their ego's could not stand it any longer!. Cheers, Richard.

It's nice to see that your knowledge about public access is so politely expressed to the people questioning you. It puts them on the back foot, as it's much easier to deal with and shut down people who are being aggressive or rude! You will always get aggressive, ill-informed staff members, but this is 2020 and not 1950. If I worked for some of these companies, I would be using your videos as examples during internal staff training, and I assume some companies are now doing this. You could actually make a decent living by doing some audits and then delivering some internal training for companies; just a thought. And as an afterthought, I've delivered training as a tutor (not a teacher) for twenty years. I'd be happy to deliver such sessions based on your reports to such companies. I know you could do it yourself, but I'm happy to make some wages from your talents!

A lot of these people think that high viz jackets, or other forms of uniform, gives them authority. But authority (in part derived from Latin "auctor", meaning "author") is a actually a product of knowledge, hence the phrase, "knowledge is power", and hence the fact that a person may be considered an authority in x or y. To have authority is not to have some kind of special powers, it is simply to *know*. This is nicely demonstrated in your videos, as you go up against people who think they have authority. They come to find, despite their uniform and your lack of one, that it is actually you who has the authority, because - *you know*. The knowledge is yours, and with it so too is the power.

If they are concerned security of the site, they need to talk to their security staff in regards to leaving the gate barriers open. I would report these vehicles that’s parked on the pavement to the police. As they are quick enough to come out when these companies report the public with a camera on the public property

DJ, I can safely say Royal Mail, don't use anybody else to move their parcels. I'm assuming the York's are not just used by Royal Mail?
@DJAUDITS
@DJAUDITS Жыл бұрын
Royal Mail will collect in a large vehicle and push the Yorks on with all the mail inside with the tags on to label tracked 48, 24 etc. Ceva will be a customer. Maybe a fulfillment warehouse type of structure inside where they store goods for clients and the order comes in to Ceva and Ceva ship the goods via RM.

@@DJAUDITS Yes I get that. Never thought of them getting deliveries lol. Yes ,at some point they will contact RM, to collect them I'm sure. It was,if I heard correct,you said they handled parcels for RM. Hence my original comment.

The S African guy with the high viz started off fine but pillocked it all up when he just walked away ignoring you like a kid with a tantrum. He should at least have taken an interest in a concern by a member of the public. Love to see that you stick to your mission DJ no matter what. "I may see good things, I may see bad things " SIA licences on front of jacket is non disputable.

Flying over prisons is legal if you are of a certain height as a minimum, i forget now minimum, i think its 167 ft or something like that
@DJAUDITS
@DJAUDITS Жыл бұрын
Yes, you are technically correct but DJI Drones will not fly over due to the software installed. It just sounds good when you tell them they are not as restricted as a prison or an airport. I guess we could say even police stations are open airspace for 249g drones.
