It’s jealousy. He was a centre forward trying to get in the England team competing with Shearer & Ferdinand. Still hasn’t gotten over it. With the money at their disposal I'd be surprised if Newcastle don't win something in the next 5-10 years. Whether that's the league or a cup who knows? but they'll definitely win something and, obviously, they'll do a lot better than they have done in the last 50 years. As a Spurs fan I'm a little bit jealous but I'd still like to see Newcastle do well, and I'm pretty sure they will.

Yeah I wouldn’t listen to these ‘pundits’, I’m an arsenal fan but nobody thinks Newcastle fans are saying this. It’ll take time obviously and you’ll need to build up gradually but eventually with the right manager and smart directors you could be winning trophies in general by 2 years max. You got amazing loyal fans and a good atmosphere that’ll improve in time when players put in 100% and give their all to win. I think Newcastle will win a trophy before arsenal but fair play to you with all the bs you’ve had to put up with for 14 years.

Look at who City signed their first couple years. Shay Given, Craig Bellamy, Nigel De Jong, Wayne Bridge, Gareth Barry, Roque Santa Cruz, backup keepers in Stuart Taylor and Gunnar Nielson. The Tevez and Robinho level players and situations how they were signed will be the difficult part for Newcastle Utd.
