It’s easy to look back on “Liv and Maddie” with rose-colored glasses, but as much as we love the show there were a few continuity errors we couldn’t help but notice! Just be careful because you can’t unsee these examples of tricky camera work once you spot them! Pete’s birthday wish was to get rid of an artichoke candle holder, yet it just kept coming back. Even in the pilot episode, it seems like the family couldn’t agree on which identical twin was older! Maddie came out on top during Cowbell Week, yet she couldn’t keep track of which student she defeated. The family jokes about Karen being less than tech-savvy, yet Liv was the one who struggled to turn off the FaceGab app. Having Dove Cameron play two characters that share screen time is tricky and sometimes certain scenes simply don’t work out right. We’ve seen disappearing projectiles during a dot fight, as well as a seemingly self-filling popcorn bowl.

I noticed another mistake. In BFF-a-Rooney, Maddie pretends to be Liv in front of South. Then Liv comes home, sees them, and says something like, "Me? Please! Like I would ever wear this outfit!" But then in a different episode (I forgot which) she IS wearing the outfit!

Yeah on the bracelet one, the girl who's talking to Maddie with her back to the camera is a different actress, and the one where you can see Liv's face is Dove Cameron, that's why the bracelet was only on the one with the body double.

The first one wasn’t a mistake, because they were told that Maddie was older, and then the one with the stopwatch wasn’t a mistake either because the stopwatch had a string attached to it that was around Pete’s neck, and he simply dropped it and left it hanging.

The stopwatch one isn't really a mistake tho, like I can drop something that is on a cord around my neck then pick it up again in like 0.5 seconds. it isn't a mistake he just is moving his hand up and down. But all of these 'mistakes' make no difference to the show so...

It's not just the artichoke candle holder that's still there. In the episode after Rate-A-Rooney, both the candle holder, and the tiny chairs that Pete got rid of magically reapear like they were never gone in the first place.

I remember there are a few mistakes like the fact that in season one we see the actress who played Stefanie Einstein’s mom in the original Sing It Loud but in season for it is stated in Sing It Louder that the only thing she had from her mother was the heart Locket.

Some thing u missed was that when willow was walking she had two cowbells one was green and the other yellow but when she was running after makenzie she only has one and it’s cow printed 🤨😏🤭

This is still my favorite show, this will never change my opinion of the show, not every movie or show is perfect, so it's ok if there are mistakes. Also, we should be thanking the directors and the actors, bc doing this show was super hard especially for Dove Cameron, she had to play two people. Thats hard.

did any of yall notice that in the comic store they have a comic (or a cd) that says "bits and pieces" which is what the show was originally called? also the artichoke they decided to keep the items. and the "i belled you in YA SLEEP" was just a way of bragging like "i belled you so easily it was like you were asleep"

The bracelet thing explained: so, there are a few extra maddies and a few extra livs. When doing scenes with a conversation, They try not to show their faces at the same time, because it’s easier to switch out Dove Cameron and the extras. The extras are only shown from the back, however in this case the extra was wearing a bracelet while Dove was not.

Two of my best friends are identical twins and I'm one of the few people that can tell them apart. A year before we met though, they tried to switch places because they were in different classes for the first time and wanted to experience what the other does five days a week. They made a mistake and got caught when they accidentally used their backpacks rather than the backpack of their twin.

On #14, the quote “I belled you in your sleep” was referring to easily being able to get her, not that she literally went to her house while she was sleeping and belled her. But since the girl was vulnerable by walking like she did, she was an easy target.

Yes in one of the episodes, "Home-Run-a-Rooney", Liv and Holden are together and they help Parker get an A in show-choir. When Parker talks about leaving to hop on a train Liv goes from wearing no tights, then to purple tights, then back to no tights. I have never heard anyone talk about it.

Okay but Maddie and Liv never knew that their birthdays weren’t on the same day until their 16 so technically Maddie could’ve easily thought she was born first so that really wasn’t a “mistake” in the show
