There are major keys to what she has said and her entire process that should not be ignored. 1. She had a built in audience based on her already established platform. 2. Her followers were familiar with her based on their history, and they trusted her because she had already demonstrated that she was trustworthy. 3. Yes it was a “new business” but she was not an unfamiliar person with an unfamiliar product and presence to her followers. 4. The dynamic established between her and her followers is why her items sold out initially. 5. She paid for the help and expertise that she needed as she needed it. She outsourced the things she couldn’t complete herself like getting her logo pressed. She was familiar with what she was selling, that’s part of her brand identity. Last, she paid for professional promotion, marketing and advertising which was an investment.

This is by far the best entrepreneur video interview I’ve ever seen because it so genuine and honest. She gives the profit numbers , the gems , the emotional picture. I respect the hustle . I love how she said you have to build yourself up first. People have to believe in you and what you have to give. Leadership at it finest 💯 like she said "people have to buy into you" it's learning how to build a relationship with your audience..like you're advertising yourself. Advertising is the key. You can sell ANYTHING but you have to have the people skill, marketing,and leadership in my opinion.

@@conversationswithadrianne I think you know what you have that most don't. Maybe it's the way you speak,dress, innovative way of thinking. Why do people choose to form a relationship with you? Is it because you're very respectful and they love how you carry yourself? What is it about you that makes people love you? It truly can be something so simple..build on that in your audience and run with it😉 Psychology Business says the number reason people buy is because they have a emotionally connection to you..they like you and want what you have to give...hell I'm not famous but it just takes self love and the right people to notice it and want what you got to give to add value to their lives in any way.

I love this! The honesty and openness is so inspiring and amazing. Some people never want to share the process in fear of somehow losing something. This is the definition of denouncing the crabs in a barrel mentality. Her clothing line, work ethic, and process is unique and can’t be duplicated. I remember her from wife swap and the thing that interested me in her was because she was a black woman as a fire fighter. I had never saw that before. Being a sergeant in the Army it’s always limited when in comes to women in a male dominated field. #MOTIVATION

I so appreciate Halani's transparency - an extraordinarily authentic Woman, Wife, Mother, Battalion Chief and now Entrepreneur! I have been following her on IG for just under a year, right before she retired in March/April of this year and I no longer feel like a 'follower', but a part of her IG family, one who supports her. Only a quarter of the way through, but remember folks, she spent time building up a following online. She was priming herself for ecommerce. Even if she just had 50k followers that trust her, that was enough for her to make it happen.
