@@NightwalkerStreetSome autistic and/or ADHD folks can also be like this! :D I'm both and the no-filter random thoughts about the most unhinged things spoken out loud are one of the things that I do. Like questioning why do we name some cow and pig parts with names that aren't related to their muscles or actual body parts whenever they are already sliced out of the animal's body. Makes me wonder if we lived in a society where cannibalism was normal we'd name different tissues in human body differently whenever they are out of the whole like bacon. I was discussing this with my colleagues at work... we didn't reach a consensus.

But since they're comment said "people like this" referring to the video, I was referring to someone who would ask if you have games on your phone and ask if they have rizz and talk about how old you are. Maybe there are autistic people who speak like that, but I've definitely met more children that act like that.

Let's be honest, "parasocial" is just a buzz word they use to shame people for feeling admiration, comfort, empathy, or connection. There's no shame in connecting with a stranger, for admiring them, for having empathy. Algorithms don't pick up words by accident and push them to everyone without purpose. "Parasocial" is how they shame you for not being an emotionless machine. Never feel bad for adoring a stranger.

@@chrismanuel9768 When people are talking about parasocial relationships, they're usually not talking about a simple admiration. Parasocial is a term that describes the perceived personal connection between a person and an individual they've never met. These relationships are not viewed as "Oh, you like this creator? What a weirdo.", but are rather judged because there's a certain point where it becomes a problem. Extreme versions of this can look like a person truly believing they are dating or have some sort of genuine relationship with a celebrity/creator/influencer/ect, and these extremes happen more often than you'd expect. People who have witnessed or even just heard of it, are justified in their fear of it. You're right to say there's no shame in admiration, respect, and sympathy, but you are wrong to water down the real life problems of parasocial relationships as some "buzzword"

LMAO this is literally my niece who thinks she knows everything because she saw it on social media 🤣 and she thinks she's the only one who knows about games and movies but the best part is that she has a dry sense of humor like my sister and I. We watched Napoleon Dynamite with her and now she will randomly ask strangers "do chickens have large talons?" with a straight face, then whatever they answer she'll just say "oh" and walk away and pretend she never asked.

I do have games on my phone. By games I mean 90% of random mobile games I played once and got bored and never uninstalled and won't unintall until I have barley any storage left. And then the other 10% is the games I actually play.
