No family car is designed for 600kg of cement? Tell that to my 1990 Volvo 240. On one occasion it was 3 squares of shingles, 2 rolls of roofing felt in the back of the wagon. Four sheets of 4x8x1 roof sheathing. Just a shade under 1,000 kilograms. That was only a few miles. Another time it was a professional wood working shop. Table saw, lathe, plainer/joiner, drill press, and band saw plus the hand tools. Again, just under 1,000 kg, but this time a 500 kilometer run. That was when Arthur was being driven by Hotrod Harriett, aka Ma. Yes the car was a "Little Old Lady" driven car. In 25½ years she put a touch over 300,000 kilometers on the clock. I've doubled that in the last 8 years.

One time when I was restacking a brick pile in the backyard, a swarm of wasps became very angry and came after me. I got lucly because I had a small Kiddie Pool full of water in the backyard in which my 2 young children and I had been playing and hanging out earlier in the day. I ran straight for it, jumped up, landed in the pool, qnd quickly laid down UNDER the water. I held my breath as long as I could, and when I came up, the wasps were gone. 😀👍

And remember that Payload Rating is NOT about how much it can haul or tow as far as shocks, frame, suspension, etc. - the rating is there because that's the maximum weight you can safely STOP !! You can usually haul twice as much or more before harming the suspension and other parts - but you couldn't stop it in time, your brakes may fail ( more likely outcome )

8:14 My issue with this isn't so much that he's not being safe. It's more that he isn't reacting to it AT ALL. He just does not care about the fact that he is being pelted in the face with red hot shards of metal. I've soldered before (basically melting lead solder onto two or more wires to hold them together in what is called a splice) and I am certainly guilty with putting my face into the smoke in order to see what I'm doing (I do hold my breath so I'm not breathing it in that much). But this takes the cake.

Most solders lead free these days anyway so no big deal. And even if it is lead solder (which works better) as long as ya not doin it all day everyday then it's no big deal. And the smokes just the flux burning off anyway. Ya need to get lead or tin a hell of a lot hotter than a soldering iron does to make it smoke. Ya need to get it to smelting temperatures which is like thousands of degrees to get it to smoke.

@@28russ Lead is a metal that is easily absorbed through the skin. It enters the body via the sweat glands and then the plasma gives it a short cut to your brain. Plumb stupid was very real among lead workers in the late 19th and early 20th century. It was quite common for a guy buying a pint of beer, to hand his wallet to the bar tender, because he could not work out which coins he needed. It was even worse for the lead miners, who rarely lived beyond 40. A few things have changed for the better these days.
