I didn't know but it .makes sense cause I've been working o drainage battery drain issues on my whole car from wiring trunk harness and my key fob judt died weeks ago never works but I've had it plugged into my car and charging? And works flawless again.... soo....

This response makes the most sense. So am I forced to go to the dealership to replace the " Non-Replacable" battery. My fob is now intermittent, not very often will it open the lock or engage the lock. I have to used the actual key to unlock and lock the door, but when I slide into cassette port vehicle starts just fine. Any confirmation would be great. 2011 BMW 328i E90

Partly incorrect, Some bmw keys including mine are a sealed unit with a rechargeable battery built in. It takes according to the manual 60 hours of driving to fully charge from dead. States right in the manual it's rechargeable. I've heard you can use a wireless charger, toothbrush charger, watch charger to charge them. However it doesn't work for mine as I came here because my battery is low.

TanR My EU 2006 E91 has comfort access and CR2032 non rechargeable battery.

There 'maybe' a module for it that may not be working correctly. Post this on the forums. I only have one key on my e87 118d(same key as urs) nd it can be frustrating haha. They do cost a bit to get new keys however

@@brokelightskin9222 if you have an electric toothbrush place it on the charger for the night. Otherwise it may have a dead battery or need to be re - paired with your car. There is a way to do that but you'll need to Google it

yep but it might only be first gen e90 comfort access like pre facelift. I have a 2007 335i with keyless and the key's back just opens and you pop a new battery in. shame every bmw Ive ever bought only came with one key lol

Not noticeable It may have 'deteriorated' the timing chain but that is SO unlikely. It may give issues in the future however it is the correct viscosity so the lubrication would have been adequate. The standards are for the additives. 4K miles is about halfway through an oil change not a lot of damage would have been caused if any. Just make sure to cut the oil changes in half for the next 2-3 changes. 3k or 3-4 months and then put some LL01 or LL04 standard oil -whichever it requires. AND do the filter as well when doing the changes. Hope it helps. Best of luck!

Honestly idk might want to Google it up and see what the forms say. You won't be the only one with that issue . First time I heard of it. I'm guessing weak battery and also might be a issue with the hood sensor.

@@BMWDoctor the E60 was supposed to be the worst of the bunch, I've owed all E39, E60, F10 and F07 and out of those the E60 does come last unfortunately as its still a nice car, it was the start of the new designs of BMW. You should keep up with the times and start to work on newer models as it will expand your fan base. Not everyone has old cars that's the thing. May as well start doing vauxhall novas as well 😅

You're correct but let me explain to you a little something about how KZfaq works. if I go out and purchase a NEW car which I could tomorrow very very easily that isn't going to get the views like I do with older cars, Why you might ask its simple new cars are still under warranty and in The uk you can even take a warranty for cars under 10 years old therefore everything is covered nobody comes to KZfaq for there repairs. secondly parts are expensive for new cars and you will never come out ahead, where when I do these "old cars" as you say let me explain I go buy these cars for next to nothing and come out way way ahead on the views and the money I make as the older it is the more problems it will have , the more garages in the USA charge a fortune for repairs and the more people I get watching who want to do it there self in return I get my money back on every vehicle , part or video I do and I come out way ahead. let me just state all my cars I own be it M5 , M3 , 530I ,330I have ALL paid for there self via this channel ALONE about 30x over that is without my business out of KZfaq and all the donations made by my loyal fan base. I hope this clears things up but if you want to know I do F & G series for the BMW main dealers as if you're not aware as your new here I have the contracts all over the UK for BMW for all there keys , programming and all keys lost. and just to mention I would never do a vauxhall as that applies to the UK audience I have never targeted my channel at a uk audience and never will, this is why you see uk channels are not going anywhere please don't let me mention all the uk channels as there is enough of them who only appeal to the uk audience and not going anywhere and been doing this years before I even come along, not to mention they ain't even making half the money I make with there brand new cars and it also explains why in the one year yes one year I been doing this I'm the highest earning BMW channel ever. @@maxgeetar9423 the backs are different and comfort mode easier to take out but no charge while driving, you have to change batteries out so often

After the recalls for main power my BMW was returned with central locking fault too from BMW!! Put me off buying another BMW again
