A lifetime collecting Of RC built and NIB kits from the likes of Tamiya, Kyosho, Team Associated and more. Unfortunately the owner, Larry Zabolotny passed away in 2020 at the age of 58, and his extensive RC collection has now come up for online auction with ZBS Auctioneers.
Bidding has already begun so you need to move fast if you see something you like, ZBS Auctioneers of Harvey, ND is conducting the Larry Zabolotny Estate Auction through the platform of Integrity Auctioneers.
The auction will take place all online with virtual bidding. Pre-bidding is available for all items related to Tamiya. This auction includes assembled RC kits, partially assembled RC kits, rolling chassis, motors, speed controls, hop up kits, accessories, rims, tires, other parts, transmitters, driver figurines, Tamiya and Kyosho memorabilia, and MUCH MORE! Some other brands of RC are present: Kyosho, Team Losi, Team Associated, etc.
Pre-bidding opens March 1 and will close Friday, March 25 at 9:00 AM Mountain Time with a virtual simulcast Auction. View lot 2 "How to bid on this Auction" for more information.

That's insane! I am wondering how someone was able to amass such a fortune to collect all these, starting at a young age? Rest in peace. I hope the money goes towards the surviving family members for their future, and I hope they themselves remain interested in the hobby.

Yes for sure. Some open kits could be missing one or two parts so keep that in mind if you are buying online.

Very sad, but it looks like he had a great time while he was around. Unfortunately a lot of the kits/lots will probably sell for more than they are worth, especially after other fees (shipping)...At least from my experience with these types of auctions.

As sad as this is, these extra models that he has more than 1 of (in box) are really a waste and could of been purchased by someone else who maybe missed out on that particular model. Rather greedy in that respect. But that's def a huge collection. The auction bring in big bucks for the family. Maybe that was his plan all along to provide for family

Very sad for a collector point of view, so much great collection and you are hoping your kids have the same interest so they can appreciate it but no😢, the good thing they can sell it at the right value to a people who can appreciate it, rather than seeing it being thrown away or be donated to goodwill.

My condolences to the family... 58 is way too young. Did he make it an early retirement? I hope so but dang... What am I missing? Looking over the website I see 340 lots and no kits... and they say there's 500 lots or so and unassembled kits... Can someone help? I'd love to place a bid or two on some of these amazing items but I really want an unassembled kit.

There are a few built Losi, Team Associated and some Kyosho on Day one. Also, a few Kyosho kits on Day two. However, Larry LOVED Tamiya!

Its not the largest collection,I know of three others who have same and much more,one has every Tamiya RC x5 (minimum) made up to around 1991 stacked floor to 10 foot ceiling on Metal racks retired from his regular business and more ,also their parts collection is massive and easily equals or surpasses the NIB kits.... Another has 2 retired 40 foot trailers packed fairly solid let alone what his house holds and there are more I have come across to a varying degrees

So strange to see. What's the point with scuh large amounts? Some collectors have ideas, to some time in the future open a store and sell wht hey have collected. But most horders can never part with what they've got when all comes to all

I did not list shipping on built semi trucks because I'm not confident they will get anywhere without small parts (mirrors, lights, etc) broken off. If someone really wants one of them shipped, then contact me and we will try to figure something out.

Unfortunately funds are not available but I would if I could. It would be really nice to have a car from Larry's collection. If anyone gets anything from the auction, add Larry's name to the inside of the shell. It would be cool way to remember him and as the kits fan out around the world it will be a nice way to recognise one down the line.
