I am currently preparing an online school for Japanese language learners whose dream is to be able to speak Japanese. The school’s number one goal is to help people who are not confident in speaking Japanese learn to speak it well. We create memorable classes that resonate emotionally with students, so that when it’s time to speak, you will find yourself speaking naturally. The content of the class itself is created by a Japanese language teacher, myself, and a designer. Since I am not a professional Japanese language teacher, I thought it would be better to have a professional teach instead. The fee has not been finalized yet, but it will be about the same as other Japanese language schools.
Classes will be offered every 3 months (1 term) starting next April. We are preparing 3 courses per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) and 2 courses per week (Tuesday, Thursday) for 3 months.
In order to maintain the quality of the classes, we, unfortunately, can not take many students in the beginning.
So, if anyone is interested, please pre-register using the link below, as we are considering admitting students on a registration basis. This will help us understand if we need additional teachers.
A very simple word that foreigners rarely use but it's very useful when you want to sound like a native. It's very helpful for a casual conversation in Japanese. Every time you want to say "So you know it's like this... right?" you can use "jan" but it's also useful in other situations so keep on watching. I hope you find it useful and give it a like and if you'd like to see more Japanese language learning content click that subscribe button too! よろしくお願いします!

I think じゃん is just the shortened form of じゃない, with the added twist that it is only used when you would ordinarily phrase it as a question. For example: ここじゃん ー ここじゃない? It's quite interesting how the じゃん version doesn't need to be a question, but if you use the じゃない version and don't make it a question, you are literally saying the opposite of what you meant.

I think what this video is trying to get across with all the example is that じゃん makes it into kind of a half rhetorical question which allows the person to either disagree or agree and/or inject/add on their own thoughts onto the subject matter. That's what I took away from the video as a whole.

Hi there! Could you do a lesson on the different (more advanced / natural sounding) ways to use という / っていう。 Not the simple "N1 という N2" but the way you often hear native speakers using it. Here are some example sentences from your videos. I can understand the translations but I just don't really understand the purpose of という since it often seems grammatically unnecessary? In the examples I'm showing it doesn’t seem like how we use the verb "to say" in English. 1) これから順番にどうやって英語や中国語の単語を覚えていったのか という こと について 話したいと思います 2) あ、もういいや帰ろうって思ったら あれここじゃんっていうふうにやっと見つけたの For what it is worth, IMHO, I wouldn’t worry about explaining it perfectly since it's probably quite nuanced. I'd just like to hear someone like yourself talk a bit about how it's used and what it's doing. Even if it's not a grammatical construction and, instead, it's just softening the sentence or smoothing a transition between ideas. It just seems like - in all the Japanese learning videos/textbooks - it is never talked about how this verb “to say” can be used in so many different ways.
