As far as I know, the only difference is that in there original game there is this one glitch where when you play as Ashley, if you shove open a door and stun an enemy with the door, you get the prompt to insta-kill suplex that enemy.

Feel bad about the switch fiasco. I remember going to show my friends kid that I completed all shrines in BOTW only to realize I saved over it when I tried to play it again. Admittedly I didn’t like BOTW or TOTK so it wasn’t a huge blow, but realizing I spent so much time on it only to save over it hurt a bit. Gotta go with Hannah as a guest. Her facial reactions to bizarre happenings are amazing.

@@Mari_Izu for what it’s worth I didn’t do the korok seed completion. I won’t say either is a bad game, open world sand boxes are just not for me. I expect they will continue this formula but I hope they’ll bring more aspects of the classic formula back. Also maybe give an option for people who don’t like continuous breaking weapons.

The original RE4 has more fun with it's plot. Leon's jokes are lame and he doesn't take the plot seriously either. Also holds up to this day after 20 years. Not starting a 'which is better' war, but it's got a different vibe and I'm pretty confident you could beat it in one sitting.

I think playing the original RE4 is still worth it to this day. Both games carry a different tone and the controls and set up are different enough without considering to be a replacement or downgrade. I'd love to see how it goes down with you playing through the original lol

9:26 Thankfully I didn’t get too far into my games, but my joy-cons were drifting, so we thought it would be a good idea to send it in for repair… they replaced the system… and my dad had Switch Online so I thought my stuff was backed up… since I had a different Nintendo account, it wasn’t. So yeah I lost my stuff too, so I feel how you feel a bit. (The joy-cons began drifting again… we just buy new ones or use the pro controller now.)

Regarding playing OG RE4, yea it is mostly same as the remake but it does have its own jank charm. It’s also very long compared to 1, 2 & 3. You could probably finish the trilogy in the time it’d take to finish 4 once.

I do believe that playing the original RE4 is still worth it despite already having played the Remake. The writing is vastly different and I believe that it is a much more different experience than the remake.

only thing that the original RE4 really has on the new RE4 is the sheer amount of iconic one liners, with "where's everyone going? bingo?" like was the only one they really kept the same. (that and a few iconic scenes they kinda just reshuffled over to the Ada DLC)

New vid! OG RE4 is interesting as a piece of history, as it changed the landscape considerably and makes you appreciate the actualizations to the characters, but I would not play it if it took the place of literally any other title. Gameplay is just not that interesting nowadays.

RE1-3 are definitely the ones that got changed the most in their remakes, RE4 and REmake 4 are fairly similar, but I'd say you might as well do it if you have the time after 1-3, round off the set as it were
