I wish I knew how to make games. Supernatural games with schools in them always make me think of an idea I had for one. If it sounds interesting, by all means, use it for your own game. It’s basically a school that’s abandoned due to a tragedy. Of course, but not abandoned by all of its students. Your job is to go in and figure out the haunting and get rid of it. Which brings me to the point of the game. When you sit in, you are basically locked into going to class. You have to figure out which ghost is the bad one pushing the hauntings to continue. You sit in on several classes and have to figure out who in the class is basically “The Troublemaker.” There are assigned seats that are randomly done. Yours included. The ghost teachers refer to you as the new student and your ghostly classmates refer to you as the new kid so you can differentiate clues. While sitting in on classes, you have to watch what’s going on and reference it to your seating chart. Like the teacher leaving and then random stuff happening. Like the bad ghost knocking somebody’s chair over or writing bad stuff on the board. Since none of the ghosts are willing to rat on the bad spirit, during class change, you have to figure out the clues by random notes written by random ghostly students and figure out which ghost it is by seating charts. Once you have it figured out, you have to place the belongings of the student on their desk and finish a ritual to banish the ghost. Failure is costly. Since somebody is trying to actually banish the ghost, you must complete the ritual correctly or the school will forever be mired in evil spirits. It’s your job to set things straight or be stuck in school forever. It’s basically Guess Who but in a haunted school

@@KjelltheWolf I certainly thank you for the encouragement. I might start learning again. I went to school years ago to learn and wasn’t able to finish due to life problems. I just may take your advice and start again.

@@ElectroBoozeu have an idea. Check for engines/framework which suits your ideas easiest/best. Proceed to learn about said tool/s. Just go for it. Into the hacking away your idea into a product. Think of all things you liked about games you know and figure out what to incorporate. But most importantly start the project as this will give you experience and a workflow to keep going. Would make a horror game myself too but iam much of wissy to playtest it lol

@@ElectroBooze nah mate, i study software architecture but the thing that scares me the most is an enemy, maybe multiple that scream for you and can open doors/giving you soundclues of there he/they is/are while it is searching for you. Omggg! If you ever start developing and may need a thought i wouldy gladly help

I think a lot of developers would appreciate your insight related to urban exploration, abandoned structures, and the horror genre. It would be cool if you'd perhaps consider making a video where you describe what makes a convincing horror environment

You MUST try out The lost crown a ghost-hunting adventure. It suits your manner of narration so well. Its a point and click adventure with grim and soothing atmosphere, has some of the creepiest ambient sounds ive ever heard and i heard a lot of them (like dead cities by mooze). p.s.
