You should definitely try their previous series: Penumbra. First two games even though outdated are still very atmospheric. They feel somewhat similar to how amnesia the bunker felt.

Have to admit that I literally laughed out loud (startling my cat, dog *and* spouse) at the sight of the glowing mushrooms because of Infra. I guess that this is how tropes come to exist. The storyline jank is at least partly due to order of discovery. What you see as timeline jank seems more to me like Daddy Dearest killed Mom but kept it secret until til her body was found, but kept Junior in the dark through servants and whatnot. Whatever. You had fun playing, we had fun watching, all’s well that ends in a well. Or something.

Good old Amnesia mods; fun stories and level designs but Better Gamma mod is ESSENTIAL. The darkness is way to punishing on newer pc's and that's before save file bugs happen!

Man, these mods took the KZfaq horror scene like a storm back then, and every single one of these is like a long lost time capsule of what horror was like back then. I can't help but think about how stuff like Amnesia custom stories and Gmod horror maps have had an impact on what horror is like today. It's definitely comforting to see someone go back an play these and just sort of let me reminiscence my late middle school and high school years of watching horror youtubers and getting excited when they do another custom map from something like Amnesia and Garry's Mod late at night.

There are so many AWESOME custom stories, that rival some of the best horror games out there in their pacing and narrative structure. It's honestly a shame that Librarian played, what I consider, one of the weakest and outdated ones out there. Even for the time, it was painfully mid. Mad overrated. He definitely made this one tolerable though, and its nice to just watch this in one go rather than a bunch of 10-15 minute tuber episodes.
