⁠@@Debraaaaa_and_Debbieeeeeeeit doesn’t have to be (when I tested cotton vs other materials I didn’t see much of a difference although that’s just my experience and I have 3a hair type ) but if it is cotton it gives more definition and less frizz from my friends experiences this makes more of a difference for people with very curly or Afro hair 4a-4c like the one in the video ( I’m not a professional or anything I’m just saying my experience and people I know how it made a difference for them )

AHHHH IVE BEEN TRYING IT RECENTLY EVER SINCE I SAW THIS VIDEO AND ITS BEEN TURNING OUT SO WELL THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I've had so much trouble with my curls in the past and I straightened them at the start of each week and left them straight for the ENTIRE WEEK except for over summer up until about two years ago and I LOVE my natural curls now. So thank you for helping me love them more ❤❤❤

@@jaelynmedlin3608Just towel dry hair, when hair is still wet you can still mold it but not when it's dry. Also don't do it soaking wet bc a tshirt does not absorb that much an you'll just walk around with a wet head and your hair wont dry😅

I wake up with an incredible amount of frizz, especially after 2 days. And I tend to "fix" it in the morning with some water and spray conditioner and scrunch

I have just found out I have wavy curly hair and tried the plopping too, same wave pattern as you. What I have found works for me, which could help you too, is plopping it like this while getting ready and then removing it and scrunching gently plus diffusing until the cast of the gel is formed. Then I air dry it and scrunch the cast. I have learned that having soaking wet hair while applying gel really helps those wavy curl clump patterns form. But it's still a hassle BC the front always turns out very flat, so with that part idk what to do to improve yet 😅 another also: I tend to break the cast with some hair oil or serum.
