Let's take a look at the fascinating story of how Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland created the hit show Rick and Morty! Subscribe for more videos: bit.ly/Subscribe-to-Screenrant
Rick and Morty is coming back for a new season, and fans are getting pumped. Rick Sanchez, Morty Smith, Beth, Jerry and Summer all had a massive cultural impact in recent years. In fact, season 3 of Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty… kind of drove some fans insane, to the point of being a teeny-tiny bit toxic.
So what is it about Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland’s show that’s connecting with people so deeply that it made them react like this? In this video, we’re going to take a look at just that.
What exactly are Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland bringing to the table with Rick and Morty that has created such a massively popular cultural phenomenon?

What people get mixed up with "needing a high IQ" is "need to pay attention". Why some people don't get the jokes in R&M is because there's no "Oh! I see......." character or laugh track to tell the audience why a joke was funny or when a joke has been made. That makes the person that laughed at a subtle joke feel smarter than the person that missed it, or even half of it because they were checking their phone briefly.

Me too. I like what others deem prolix and convoluted writing: I reserve straight forward writing for when I'm sleepy and don't have the energy to concentrate. And Campell isn't particularly challenging; I was reading him in high school. He's no Heidegger, Kant, Hegel, Sartre, etc. They are hard to read and often comprehend (even professional academic philosophers argue over what they actually mean), and the subject matter they deal with (philosophy) is much more challenging (abstract and technical) than mere cultural anthropology.

Me too. It's a great sentence and simple enough to grasp yet profound with insight. This statement is undeniably concocted by a fictitious and feeble minded person. An individual that can not even grasp a fragment of this show's brilliance and bijou writing, such as yourself as well as numerous others, I scowl thee. People who view this masterpiece of media for what it truly is are shunned to the side by the mindless sheep who clutter spaces, causing intellectual conversations to become an onerous task. You cretinous philistines wouldnt even be able to fathom a blantant concept this show brings up even if it were simplified for that kind of a mind. I will courteously bring forth this show's many layers wielded into it, which will still most indefinitely remain unbenownst to the very masses which I endeavored to enlighten. This piece of art has plentiful and subtle messages that speaks layers about life. Take the Pickle Rick Scenario, for example. This scenario shows the nilhistic ways of the world. Rick intentionally turns himself into a pickle, of course, to show this. Despite turning into something other than a human, Rick has the same capability he did as a human. Of course, the magnitude of vinegar threw off his ability to function properly, but after he adjusted he still had the same abilities he did as a human. This demonstrates that whether human or pickle, Rick remains entirely the same. He still remains unable to significantly impact the world, too small in the grand scheme of things. Another mere strip of this show's brilliance is the episode, "The Ricklantis Mixup". This episode subtly hides a gold mine of political comments around society. These were a small quantity of the show's brilliance, I laugh at people who are still puzzling over this show. Please, due us a favor and go back to dabbing and nae naeing or whatever is popular, and let actual intellectuals discuss the concepts this brilliance brings an issue upon.

Rewatching the series for the 3rd time (bc I do love it), I realize how simple and unintelligent the show's humor and science is. Don't get me wrong, it's hilarious, but the characters and the sci fi are fairly basic. Rick just knows the solution and answers to things, there's no logic or consitent thought behind it. He's just OP. And bc he's so smart he feels disconnected from society and acts like a pretensious asshole. This isn't Futurama where many of the writers have PHDs or other doctorates and have literally invented an actual real world mathematic Theorem for an episode. The people who think Rick and Morty is only for the intelligent are the people who don't get along with others and claim it's because they're deeper and more thoughtful than their peers but really they're just pretensious and annoying to be around.

For some reason in English it's not common to do very long sentences, but in some other languages like Catalan and Spanish we do it a lot, it's like we LOVE our subordinate sentences for some reason. Lol. So that long of a sentence wouldn't come as that long for people who speak other languages (it definitely is long, don't get me wrong, just not that long proporcionately). Just a curious fact.

I like long sentence in general because they are challenging in contrast to the belittling and highly inefficient standards that need sooo many starts and conclusions of statements instead of packing it all into one compact stream of words and they have the power to increase your attention span when you don't prematurely give up on yourself evolving to something better.
