Rick And Morty is a smorgasbord of delicious scientific delights. Each episode explores different aspects of science, but with a large side order of fiction. However, that’s not always the case! Sometimes, the creators take real world science and squeeze it into the story. It’s easy to imagine that all the science is taken from the pages of the science-fiction handbook. Such as that device that allows people to enter the dreams of others. Imagine a whole film based on that concept! It would be bonkers! Anyway, we’ve gone to the trouble of separating the science-fiction from the science-fact. See what we did there? Yeah, it was poor…
There are so many instances where the show references famous theories. Like Schrodinger and Heisenberg’s theories (not the Breaking Bad pseudonym). If those names ring a bell, then the video will explain all! The episode where talking dogs take over the world is also inspired by actual events! We also take a gander at cryogenic freezing as fast as you can say “Walt Disney”. There’s even a real-life zombie fungus that inspires a whole episode involving parasitic aliens! And on top of that, we have the Multiverse and the complication of DNA! We really feel like we should get a PHD just for researching this video. We are smart. One simpler fact I’ve noticed is at the end of season 1 ep 4 (the simulation one) Rick tells Morty to mix cesium, plutonic quarks, and water. I don’t think the plutonic quarks are actually anything, but mixing cesium and water does result in an explosion.

Explosive amounts of energy makes no sense because every element has its own combustion point which means one explosion has a different energy output than another.

@@WHISPERSHOT if you understood English then you would know that explosive doesnt mean combustion. Combustion is a chemical reaction while explosive means it tends to explode which basically means expand, combustion when confined can cause an explosion but not all explosions are due to combustion, like a kinetic bomb explodes due to velocity, a nuclear bomb explodes due to a nuclear reaction.

I've seen one of those training robots, and they are amazing feats of technology. The one I saw was for an E.R nurse, but it was the same more less. The basic model I saw alone costs an astonishing $30,000 per robot. It can talk via a 2 way radio, sweat, blink, have a pulse/heartbeat, and follow different procedures(have a heart attack ect.). It is truly amazing what we can do now a-days.

your description of heisenberg’s uncertainty principle is incorrect. it applies to particles first of all and it states that the more accurately you can determine the momentum of a particle the less accurately you can determine it’s position and vice versa. (the equation is ΔpΔx ≥ h/4π) in the equation, delta means uncertainty.

They were saying things like how i get to experience many human lives come and go. And that when its time from me I'll wake up. Then when i was 7 or 8 i had a dream that the machine malfunctioned and i was stuck watching present me live my life along with others. I wanna go to hypnotist to try and remember more. But i do know that the alien race were like strongly affected by certain music

@2:24 regards shrinking the human body, it was discovered during the early space program especially spacelab, that naturally humans do shrink and expand in size, mostly due to gravity compressing the spinal column and particularly first thing in morning people are taller by a few inches than they are after a days compression of the vertebrae, and a constant prolonged period in space has many physical symptoms, height being just one of these.

Well technically speaking, every device and theory in this show is right. This is a show where the multiverse theory holds true. In the show, Rick says from time to time that there is an infinite number of universes with infinite realities. The Schrodinger's Box explanation is all misrepresented. It's actually a really interesting idea, the concept of superposition is accepted in chemistry but at the time Schrodinger wrote his letter, it was a hard concept to understand.

schrodinger's cat concept was a joke. He thought the idea of two realities existing simultaneously simply due to observation so ridiculous he joked about the cat box. Then idiots thought he was being serious and ever since have misused his phrase.

There is one minor issue with Schrödinger's Cat, in that it was a joke and obviously, the cast is either dead or alive regardless of whether it is observed. Schrödinger merely meant it to portray the weirdness of Quantum Mechanics in which such effects do appear to happen.

It´s poorly explained in the video. Particles can sometimes act as a wave or as a particle. But it is proven that a particle act as both simultaneously before being measured. That's actually how qubits in quantum computers work. Opening the box is an analogy to measuring the particles.

Schrodinger's Cat is an extremely misquoted conclusion. He setup the idea and then immediately dismissed the "both at the same time until you open the box" as non-sense. It was never supposed to be parallel existence, only a parallel possibility. One or the other definitely happened, never both.

I would think cryogenics would always kill you. Your blood would crystallize and pierce your veins. The second you start to melt you would start to die from internal bleeding. That is if the blood in your brain didn’t form icicles as well and destroy all functionality of it. That’s my thoughts. Don’t know if it’s possible to actually freeze someone with cold and keep them alive inside. If you could “freeze” their time however... hold them in a suspended state of time somehow? That way you would actually just be restarting the body later. Anyone have actual evidence to back me up or disprove this? I’d love to know the actual possibility of this junk
