Rotherham Station is Northern Rail property not Network Rail property.

@@TheGwentAuditorTGA Not really. I think most spotters realise and understand that there is a big difference between:- 1. Filming out of the way on a platform trains coming into and leaving a station. 2. Walking into the ticket office of a station foyer with a zoom camera and microphone when people are providing information, inputting payment into cash machines or explaining potentially sensitive information (surrounding disability requirements etc) to members of railway staff. What you're doing is imposing yourself on others and you aren't being considerate to other people, you're displaying quite selfish behaviour I'd argue - certainly you aren't thinking of others as you do this. So no, there is a big difference between train spotting and doing whatever it is you think you're doing.

Interesting, i just looked it up. if you photograph staff you need permission, or if you film for your own safety then you need permission from the person you are filming. You cant film the cctv etc. But network rail says they do not actively prohibit photography. Karen got it 100 percent wrong

can tell she is lying due to the tell tale darting away of the eyes when she made the statement . nothing in the guidelines states you must gain permission from staff to record .

Why are you bleating on about Network Rail? They only manage 20 stations and this isn't one of them. You can read all the bylaws you like but they're pointless if you don't know the simple facts in the first place.

All railway infrastructure is owned by Nstwork Rail, anyway don’t worry we’ll be getting rid of these tyrant franchise holders who act like the own the railways

@@TheGwentAuditorTGA But it's the company who manages the station who decide on the rules to do with filming, it says that on the Network Rail website. They're not tyrants, they're just doing their job.

If she worked for me before she wouldn't now as she clearly doesn't know her job. Surely knowing network rail guidance should be part of what anyone who works at a station should know.

She doesn't have a clue, which a lot of them don't tbh, they have an issue with filming so they think they can order people around, I walked in Exeter St Davids, Hereford, Parkway and said I'm just going to be filming and they've said absolutely fine, that's what I like to see then you get idiots like her
