On this episode of You Need This Tool I feature the digital angle finder.
Welcome to The Fab Forums. My name is Kyle Voss and I produce Custom Motorsports Fabrication content of all forms for you. Carbon Fiber, TIG Welding, Metal Shaping, Hot Rods, Muscle Cars, Custom Choppers, and everything in between. I work hard to bring you new content on a weekly basis.
Here are some of the builds you can find on this channel.
I have built several Chevy trucks on this channel. The first was my 1964 C10 named Crown Spoyal and the most recent C10 truck project was the 1969 I currently have named the Black Pearl.
I am also finishing up a custom twin turbo Ford Mustang build I call the Gray Goose. It’s a 400 cubic inch Windsor style engine with twin 70mm turbos. I am hoping to make around the 1000 horse power mark to the tires on this particular build.
Last but not least is the one off custom hot rod build called the Bibbster. This is what I call a modern day hot rod. It’s made from an old Ford Mustang foxbody, but made to look like an old school open wheeled hot rod.
I also feature other fabricators and shops like Cutworm Specialties hand formed aluminum wide body kit for a BMW e46. Jeb Greenstone has also built a twin turbo, coyote powered model A style hot rod from scratch, and is currently building a Toyota TE72 wagon drift car powered by a 1UZ Lexus v8. Jeb’s custom fabrication skills are fun to watch and always make for good videos.

Ooo, I bought one of these a few weeks ago, it's really good. I was going to buy the yellow one you've got but at my local welding store they had the digital one, branded by a different company. I'm pleased I bought it :)

Just orderd me a Trend digital angle finder in the UK. I reckon it will come in useful for fixing skirting board. Man can never have too many tools - try explaining that to your wife ! Loving your video Mr toolman - you are a real showman

Hey Kyle. That's a handy gadget, especially for under $19. I made a similar wooden version of that years ago, but the one you have is really cool and I will have one of those in my collection very soon. Is this how you would find the angle you need for a pie cut when doing intercooler piping and then divide by 2 and that’s the angle for each side of the pie cut right ?

The Fab Forums love it I've always used a regular angle finder but i had to do the math to reverse it. I love the auto reverse.

I followed your link and the tool delivered has changed - The item delivered does not reverse the measured reading - The on off in the zero button or a little Jenkee so it’s most likely going back to Whamazon... 😢

Anybody uses theirs to adjust the camber they want on their VIP, Stance and Race Cars before showing up to the alignment shop to correct toe? Lol, or am I the only one? 😂

Hey, the link you provided is a GemRed....it doesn't have the reverse function. Just got it today and now I find I will still need to use my brain on inside angles. Lol

The Fab Forums yes, and it reads inside angles, so to get the outside you just rotate it more the 180 degrees before measuring the angle. It works fine, I just waisted time trying to find that elusive button you mentioned in the video. But hey, it's good to engage the brain once in a while.
