Misinformed too.. film was bade miyan chhote miyan not mohabbatein. Mohabbatein released after BMCM..and it was his superhit movie after series of flops.

He was coaxed to get into politics by the then PM Rajiv Gandhi (IndiraGandhi’s son). But AB was soon blamed for some corruption and he fought his case and came out unscathed. He then vowed never to go back to politics because he said he’s just not cut out for it. This man fell multiple times - charges of corruption, health issues, accident on set, bankruptcy but still rose like a phoenix from the ashes. Great inspiration to everyone!

@@ASingh1699k there is no proof for this. Doordarshan kept playing a scene from zanjeer, where he uttered the dailogue, khoon ka badla khoon. He is exactly what he claims to be. If Amitabh really said those lines in 1984, we might have to add some zeros in number of people dead.

In late 80s he entered in politics and that's where his acting career started crumbling. His name also mentioned in one of the biggest political scam in 80s. After that he left politics and re-entered in films where he strated his production house, soon his production house got bankrupt. He literally stayed away from films for 3-4 years in 90s. 90s was really bad time for him. Then he focused on tv. Kon banega crorepati Indian version of who wants to be millionaire. This tv show bacame such a massive hit. This show gave amitabh 2nd life line for his career. He restarted working in films. And this time his craze went to all hights. From then he is known as biggest superstar of bollywood.

He rose - His parents were best friends with then Indian Prime minister Rajiv Gandhi (Most powerful family in politics then GANDHI family) His father's poetries are still taught in million indian schools till now He fall - Started his acting career saw back to back 7 flops as a celebrity kid He rose - From Zanzeer he gave 34 superhit - all time blockbuster movies in a decade ( a record) like Sholay,Deewar,Don,Amar akbar anthony etc He Fall - His own production house went bankkrupt as he didnt gave a single hit film in whole decade of 90s (3 Khans rule) ,he just kissed death & came back after being in coma for several days He rose - Came back in year 2000 with beard--fatherly roles & again became hearthrob of nation in Tv with KAUN BANEGA CROREPATI & movies with MOHABBTEIN ,now no looking back already worked in 115 movies in 2 decades

Amitabh had gone to Hollywood to understand how big production houses worked. This was before big houses like yrf and Dharma had come up. Unfortunately, he organized the Miss world in India and indian people (along with some political parties) opposed that considering it as obscene and against the culture. This resulted in the event being a huge financial failure. This was the main reason for ABCL going bankrupt. He paid off his debt from the money he earned from KBC.

He was rejected from All India Radio because at the time, the trend was to look for bright, clear voices. The soothing baritone which is common for radio and podcasts today, and was a signature of Amitabh, was only a much later trend.

No, that's not the reason. 1) Mohabbatein was after he became bankrupt.( Offered in favour by Yash Chopra) 2) He quit politics ( not lost in it) and it was years before 2000. Also he quit coz acc. to him ' it doesn't suit him '. 3) SRK's popularity has nothing to do with his bankruptcy.

His first hit was Anand(1971)not Zanjeer,Zanjeer proved to be a Super-Hit(overall)and a Blockbuster in many parts of India,out of the 5 Biggest Hits of the 70s,3 belong to him,Sholay,Muqaddar ka sikandar(2nd biggest after Sholay)and AAA(disputed with Bobby for the 3rd position but definitely is in Top 5)

It's not hyped or mentioned anywhere like Rajesh Khanna's "never happened" 17 consecutive hits but the fact is,Amitabh is the only Actor in Bollywood History whose at least 1 Film,starting from 1973 was in the Top 5 Highest grossers of the year,this still unbroken record continued till 1986,was put at a halt only by the Legend himself,who didn't do any Film in 1987 but from the very next year,it happened again,which continued till 1992,until his then retirement from Films.

Yeah, in the 90s, he signed up for many garbage movies. Utter and sheer garbage. I used to wonder why my childhood fav Amitabh Bachchan was doing such trash. Much later, I read and saw Simi Garewal's interview with him and his Family. He said he was willing to wipe the floor if someone gave him good money because he wanted to pay back his debts (so that people don't sully his image). Simi Garewal is one of the best interviewers ever appearing on Indian Television. The interviews are in English; you should watch 'em, especially the Amitabh Bachchan one. It is pure gold. The interviews delve deep into the actor's life and are heartwarming. I am sure you guys would love them. The show was called "Rendezvous with Simi Garewal", I think.

Amitabh Bachhan is a talented megastar - but he also had to use his political connections to get roles in the initial phase (mainly Congress & Gandhi Family) of his career and later on when he went bankrupt (Samajwadi party leader Amar Singh helped him through is the phase. He is close to the Gandhi family and this connection helped him many times.
