Hello everyone, welcome to another video
In today's video I am here to talk about using your wheelchair to it's full potential. This is more of a basic thing that I wasn't really sure what to do. I came up with the concept originally to cover a few different things but part way through recording I thought it was best to do it in a few different videos
The next set of videos will be finding your own pushing style and another video that will talk about different bags and how good they are for pushing the wheelchair
I also realized I didn't mention the cushion and it's materials much so here is a few things to consider. The feeling of the material on your body (through clothes) should be considered, if it causes any sores and if it supports your body enough
I hope you enjoy

Thanks for this video. Very useful for disabled people like me who after being able to walk for a long time with crutches are now forced to use a wheelchair and do not know how to do it too well. The hardest part is balancing on the big wheels without falling backwards. And yet it is very useful

Thank you for watching it. I'm glad you found it useful. I've done a video about back wheel balance in the past. It takes some time to get good at it. Just make sure you do it safely

Videos like this are so useful for able bodied people who interact with wheel chair users, for example new support workers. Or the overly concerned person who thinks just because a person uses a wheelchair they are vulnerable like a snowflake. I used to push people who have mobility issues, maybe after a stroke. Those chairs can be terrible to manouvre, and often the person is not exactly low weight. And they have no suspension at all.

Thank you I'm glad you found the video helpful. I agree that a lot of wheelchairs can be improved when it comes to the design but it comes down to the persons needs
