Edit: wrote the following response before I'd watched BTS and read Derek's director's note. That was some crucial info I wish had more exposure, but I'll leave my original comment untouched. Mixed feelings about this one, but I will say that I am a female martial artist and I don't give a damn if a guy thinks I'm a physical threat or not. If he doesn't, he has lower expectations which leaves me room to make killer moves and get his attention. If he does, no guarantee he's going to respect me for it anyway but he may do so it's just another lucky dip of responses :P

Good point. I should have made my Director's note a pinned comment instead of putting it in the description on the BTS. Better yet, I'll pin YOUR comment, and I'll add my note as an addendum: NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR: I didn't have enough time in the scene to fully elaborate on all my thoughts of female vs. male fighting. I hope I didn't make it sound like a woman could never beat up a man larger than her, because I don't believe that. My Muay Thai coach Tandi could wipe the floor with me because of her speed/skill, and I out-weigh her by 50 lbs. But size is definitely a factor, and that's why they have weight classes in all martial arts competitions.

Great message. Simmi was definitely testing Woody. If all men felt that way there would be less battered women in the world. I saw Woody and immediately clicked. I thought this was one of his skits. Great look! It was like watching a big budget film in reference to is high quality view. Lighting could've been a little brighter but it was still extremely clear.
