I've had genuine feelings for one person that never felt the same way towards me, it was the most devastating thing at the time. But in retrospect, I realised that those feelings were better off being given to someone more deserving, someone who saw me in the same way i saw them. This pain is so real, Its been over 10 months since i was replaced by another, they gave up on me when i was trying my best to be better. This is from the movie Father and Daughter. She lost her father when she was very small and it caused her afraid of attachment so she made herself a who're to avoid commitment until she met him. Then slowly she became too scared of really wanting him not to ever be gone like her father (I believe) and she fucked another dude in the bar and let her bf know immediately. He left her of course. The song her dad lived went on display and remind her of her dad and why she's so fucked up and then this scene happened. She confessed why and then they got back together at the end. Her aunt was also the reason why she's fucked up because her aunt tried to steal her from her dad and caused his death then they took her in as their daughter and raised her in such horrible mental health condition (but they're wealthy).

I feel exactly this for somebody. I'm living in another country now and my god, just thinking I wouldn't be able to see that laugh, that beautiful face again, killing me inside. Sometimes you meet people who you think are the best thing that happened to you and they mean the world to you but at the end, things don't work out the way you wanted them to and they leave. They vanish into thin air. That might be the worst phase of your life, you won't be able to control yourself, you'll be in an emotional roller coaster for a long time. Here comes the best thing, after a period of time, you start realising your worth, you slowly realise you can live without them and be happy without them, you realise that you had wrongly attached your happiness with someone else and you won't do that again ever in your life, you will work on yourself and make the best version of yourself. It has been about 1 year 1,5 years since she left me, her mother did not approve of me solely because of my skin color, this is going to sound like one of those cliches "Do not be racist and treat everyone fairly" we are all starting to get tired of but this was something I had never experienced before. Yes, I did, in the end, it hurt more like anything I could have imagined and more, took a time to get over a relationship that honestly was not even that long (Maybe 3 months) but she was the person my world revolved around for a long time and so it was the other way around, but we were both too young and I was certainly not ready for something serious. I grew up with an emotionally abusive father who would also physically hurt my mother it but never went farther than a bruise on her skin. When i was a kid I would try to do everything to prevent quarrels but they would happen quite often nonetheless. my hands would immediately start shaking I would just sit between them as a physical barrier in futile attempts to calm them down crying my eyes out in a near state of panic for 17 years My most vivid memories are their quarrels I remember them like yesterday even if I'm 22 now. He would literally say to shut up to me and my sister, often saying that I'm worthless even though I always had excellent scores in school. Unfortunately that set in me perfectionism that is a big hindrance in my life it's not a healthy perfectionism I can't do anything without making sure it's impeccable always spending much more time on something than should be, often putting me under huge levels of stress if it's not perfect. I was constantly afraid living in my home until I left for university when I was17 y.o. Now I realize that he's just a deeply insecure idiot who would seek to dump his negative emotions and secure his fragile ego through abuse. But it all left me with inferiority complex and with inability to form relationships. And sometimes I get curious what it's like to be loved or have real friends. But it's only curiosity I know I won't be able to open myself up

Since everyone else sharing... I don't think I ever truly "loved" someone. "Love" like "friendship" are pretty strong words. I am "broken" in a way, my mom never said she loves me so I am deeply insecure and always feel like people just lie to my face... But that last relationship sure felt special.
