Listen. Everytime I have a toilet emergency, no matter what knot I've tied prior, it will become a dead knot and forcing me to resort to just yank my pants down. No knot will prevent this.

The origin of a highway man's hitch was to tie up horses. Horse on the side that you can pull hard and just tighten the knot, and then you can hop on and do a quick release

Bro, Stop believing this video. YOu can do it the traditional way and double knot it , but not too tight at all. TYou dont even have to tie it like this. Also, you dont even have to do any of these! You can just do it traditionally, but tie it SUPER tightly.

@@Unity811 yup. I learned the trick of quickly tying shoelaces but it was kind of hard to learn. People would say the normal way is easier but if you master the faster and quicker way of tying a shoelace, it can save a ton of time.

If your regular bow (slipped square knot) is failing/slacking, the first thing you should try is to make sure that you're not actually tying a granny knot. Make sure that whichever way you cross your single strands is the opposite of how you cross your loops. If you start left over right, make sure you cross the loops right over left. If your first step is right over left, cross your loops left over right.

Your breathing is wrong. You know how you're breathing through your nose. But you stop breathing when you go underwater? I learned a way to solve this! Pretend you're a fish. Mutate gills onto yourself. You can quickly undo this by pretending to be human again. But when i learned it and tried it myself, i was surprised at how well it worked. And now i can breathe as much as i want.

I have never ever had to worry about my trouser strings getting loose or untied. They have always lasted until I need the toilet (at which point I untie them to do my business and then re-tie them). All you have to do is pull the standard knot tight enough.

I agree, but my issue is just that it's annoying to untie it and re-tie it, which is something that this knot would resolve, assuming that it functions as well as described. I haven't worn any pants that require tying a drawstring in a long time, though. Any drawstring pants I own fit well enough with enough elasticity that they just stay on fine without tying.
