It’s the simplest version of autotune so it’s really easy to use. I personally like the graph so unlimited was the one for me but with this new price I think more people should look into adding it to their arsenal (who may not already have Antares)

Unfortunately for these videos I’m often making them on the spot to demonstrate the plugins capabilities which means I don’t always finish the songs once the video is released. @@IAMLXGEND yeah man, I remember before I started paying around with plugins I thought anything that wasn't natural on the vocals was auto tune, from doublers, reverb phasers etc. It amazes me how subtle AutoTune it really is. But like you said you can talk about auto-tune all day because the possibilities are endless because there's no true limitations.

It was for me to learn as well. I’ve been using pitch correction / auto-tune since I switched to GarageBand in 2010 (I swore against it before that) and man it’s been a game changer even in its more subtle use.

I’ve never used melodyne but I can say that for basic pitch correction, autotune access is more that sufficient and the price drop to $49 instead of $100 makes it even more intriguing. Had I not already had Auto-Tune Unlimited, I’d definitely be buying it

@@StephenLyonsMusic for something that’s automatic, yes. But, if you want more control and want to do some manual pitching, then you could go either way, but I prefer Melodyne for manual tuning and polish it off with Autotune from Antares.

Antares follows whatever you set it to on the vocal. If what it’s hearing is 432hz vocal it’s gonna tune that because that’s what it’s hearing. I’ve never done this, but I would be shocked if it didn’t follow.

I don’t know what the proper terminology would be but yes, using it TOO extremely, especially if out of key, can cause some audio distortion.

EFX is essentially the same thing, the only difference is added features that can really add creativity to your voice to make it sound a very unique way by using a series of effects.

all had the "robotic" distorted autoune manipulation. A real challenge would be to correct the pitch "without" even a hitch of robotic fake sound to at all. Can you do that now ? i have atotune artist, and still struggle to keep that robotic old fashioned silly effect completely out

First of all auto tune wasn't designed for non singers . It was designed to make good singing sound great. U can not do anything about terrible singing. U need to atleast do the best u can then auto tune can fix those nuances and make u sound perfect.. sometimes auto tune can serve as effects. In modern pop even the best singers still use auto tune

@@IAMLXGEND not fr. It’s a tool that’s evolved constantly over time. You can definitely do something about bad singing, it’s called autotune and manual pitch correction for specific notes or parts. My definition of sounding better means sounding better than it would if it was raw

I never use autotune in Maschine. If I did, I would use it the same I use any plugin. Add it, and then use it.

@@kenutethompson8225 this is an extremely broad question. There’s thousands of plugins. Every plugin I own works in Maschine. So just use any. Waves, Izotope, & Native Instruments plugins are all mostly what I use in maschine.

@@kenutethompson8225 I only use Autotune when I record vocals and I only record vocals in Logic or GarageBand. So I’m not sure if you’re looking specifically for vocal plugins but I ONLY produce in Maschine. Auto-Tune Slice is one Antares plugin I’ve used if you’re looking for something MUSIC focused. Otherwise, I’d need to understand your goals for sound, what you have, and what you already know / your work flow to be able to make recommendations on plugins. I never like to just recommend someone anything. This video for instance is specifically targeted to vocalists as that’s the most useful way I use this particular plugin. Whereas for music producers (which it sounds like you are), I would say you’d benefit more from something like Slice: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/haqoosWa25mwoZ8.html

That’s exactly how the trick question was set up. But the title of the video and the intro of the video are 2 different things. There are 7 whole other minutes to watch where the title is clearly addressed. Which is why… it’s a *trick question* lol? That was indeed my point.

@@IAMLXGEND I checked your examples to see what you did with it but it didn't sound natural to me in any of the examples, so it wasn't really a trick question. In all the examples I've heard Autotune has an unnatural sound to it and I'm just not a fan of that sound, so my point that these examples also didn't change my mind about Autotune. But I'm always open to products improving so I keep checking them out. To me natural pitch correction means it would sound like it was sung that way to begin with and you wouldn't notice it was pitch corrected. IMO Melodyne is best suited for this task at the moment.
