Jeromy Leavelle is with us this Wednesday, and he will share with you five crucial elements to conduct a thorough first inspection of the property.
Following these steps will make all the difference in your claim process because you will have:
👉 Photos proving the loss and documenting the spread of the damage.
👉 A sketch with accurate measurements that you will need for the estimate.
👉 A good understanding of what happened and the mitigation measures that the client took (or didn’t).
As public adjusters, the success of your efforts comes down to understanding the insurance policy and creating detailed and ethical proof of loss.
You cannot do the latter without a detailed inspection and documentation of the damages.
You will often not have the time to write the estimate immediately after the inspection, so you must inspect the property thoroughly and document everything.
The same applies if you leave the estimation to a third party. How could they estimate the damages accurately without detailed documentation?
