Not really repo men do it all the time so do just tow truck drivers. For as far as he pushed it if it did mess up the trans then they got a lemon. All it would do is either skid the tires or one wheel would go forward and one when would go backwards it's how park works. In a manual it wouldn't have hurt it either you can roll a car in gear and it will be fine. I've started cars like that before when the battery died. That car was definitely in neutral though.

If it was in park, the car tires would’ve slid, so no doubt the car was in neutral, so ether the prank was real and it’s probably a manual transmission so it’s always in neutral(or they could’ve put it in first gear when they left the car but I doubt it) or it was fake and the automatic transmission was left in neutral so they knew he would use his Audi as a bumper car to move a car in neutral. Ether way tho, this prank was obviously fake, as is the next one

I agree with everything you said except one thing. That is true of automatics but not necessarily of manuals. Both my husband and I have manuals. We almost never put it in gear. We leave in neutral and use the parking brake... Unless we are parked on an incline...

An autotragic that's in park will not allow both driven wheels to spin in the same direction which is similar to locked up brakes/fully engaged parking brake. P.S. Parking brakes aren't that strong either. You'd know if you ever stalled a manual car with the parking brake fully engaged.

@@asher5455 - OK, several things. First, body's car was damaged. Second, there's no information center at a movie theater. They're not going to stop showing films to announce that someone is blocking a vehicle. Third, if they did, the person wouldn't respond because they knew they were blocking it when they parked there (the lifted SUV). Fourth, they may have had a number for a towing company, but towing companies that handle towing vehicles out of shopping center type parking lots are so shady that in addition to charging the owner of the towed vehicle, they'd probably try to charge my dad since they would be helping us while doing their normal job. Fifth, the parking lot was big, my dad solved the problem quicker than the time it would've taken to walk back inside and then back out to the car (this was when cell phones were about as big as a normal cordless phone and fairly rare). So, now you know.
